Set on Week 1, Day 1, roughly 9am!
--------
Another new arrival.
Wash stood at the control monitors and sleepily tapped through personnel files. He had access to them, though certain sub-sections were locked off to his security level - mostly medical files. Ratchet did not allow those to be viewed by anyone who was not him.
Most of the files were corrupted to some degree or another, an unavoidable consequence of their separation from Cybertron and the destruction of the Ark and its data banks. As he understood it the original team of Autobots on Earth had scavenged what they could. Plenty of data was intact in some form or another. What holes did exist were painfully gaping, however.
The new bot, a young soldier named Smokescreen, had a file. It had not yet been updated to reflect whether or not the kid had been able to scan an alternate mode yet, or if he had been briefed yet about the dominant species on the planet - the same species that had lent them the use of this very abandoned silo for a base. As Wash recalled, his arrival on Earth had been rather, well... eventful.
The glowing green monitor pulsed at him. Wash yawned, then shook himself and made a face when he realised what he had just done. Man. He'd been spending too much time lately with the humans.
He narrowed his optics. That reminded him...
A stay-awake slap brought him back to full attention. He briskly switched on his internal comm.
"Hey, Smokescreen?" he said. "This is Wash. I'm in the control room - have you got a little spare time, by any chance?"
