Episode 2, Week 3, Day 3
"Hm... Well you've seen better days." Hazmat mused out loud as he gazed up at the Arc, the vessel that had transported the Autobots from their dying planet of Cybertron to Earth... or at least the remains of the vessel. The large mech stood near the entrance into the Hanger with his large pedes spread out and his servos curled into fists planted on his hips, his yellow optics slowly drifting from one end of the space ship to the other. Despite having been shot at while taking off and shot at even more while leaving orbit, the Arc had managed to reach Earth intact enough to handle reentry and even then was able to get inside this hanger. It was a testament to Autobot engineering. Oddly enough his field was rather blank of emotion, save for a hint of sorrow as memories of the last time he saw this ship drifted through his processor.
The last time he saw this ship it was taking off from it's launch pad... without him aboard. It was also the day that the artillery company 5567-Zeta had been obliterated because he made a bad call in an attempt to get his entire company to the Arc before it took off. That had not been a good day. He would've preferred going on a scraplet hunting patrol then have that day happen.
With a grumble the custodial mech shook his helm to get those thoughts out of his helm before returning his gaze to the vessel. As he stood there though there were six beams of golden light being emitted from the mech's chest mounted decontamination scanners and they were running over several sections of the ship simultaneously. He had great doubts that there was anything dangerous currently within the vessel considering how long it had been sitting here but it was still a good idea to check it out. He might even find something that could become a problem and prevent it... or find a resource that had been unusable due to contamination and he could fix it up. In truth he was just trying to keep himself busy since he wasn't sure what do to with himself. There was a truce on so a heavily armored mech with immense strength wasn't exactly needed at the moment. So he tried to keep himself busy when ever he could since he really hadn't been given a a responsibility within the base yet. Still it was nice to be doing custodial work again instead of being a soldier or a unit commander. He had missed it... though he wouldn't turn down the opportunity to talk with anyone about anything. That had been something his missed too.
... That and he couldn't spend every moment he had with Shale.
