Raf listened to Bee and Sideswipe talk, looking from one to the other as they did. He was content to just listen, always enjoying stories from the Autobots about things they had seen or done. His head moved back and forth like he was watching a tall tennis match.
His eyes widened a little as Sideswipe explained about spark twins.
“Whoa, that’s really interesting!”
He had so many questions, but he knew it wouldn’t be polite to just start blurting them out.
Did it happen normally, or was it done on purpose? If it was done on purpose, why? Were the sparks like blobby-looking or was the split perfect? Did their sparks look like half round orbs, or just smaller ones? Did it hurt when it happened? Were they like human identical twins where they looked exactly alike and could talk to each other without using words? Did it happen before their bodies were actually forged, or after?
Raf hoped he’d get a chance to ask those questions later. He had so many!
“Ratchet throws wrenches?” he asked, astonished. He couldn’t see Ratchet throwing anything at anyone. He could yell a lot, and was super sarcastic, but actually picking up something and throwing it? Part of him was curious as to how good a shot the medic was.
Hearing Bee ask if he wanted to help give a tour of the base, Raf beamed, “Sure! I’m not sure how good I’ll be, though. There are a lot of rooms I haven’t been in often myself, because of Optimus. He glanced to Sideswipe, “Optimus is scared we’re going to get stepped on or hurt. I try to stick to the side of the walls in the halls because it’s less likely we’ll be in the way there.”
Adjusting his backpack up a little higher, Raf nodded to himself, then looked back to Bee. He walked forward a few steps, “So I better sit on your shoulder, Bee, if that’s ok. I don’t want to worry Optimus. I won’t slow you guys down that way either.”
