Episode 2 | Week 3 | Day 3
((Continuation of Fixed Point))
So tiring... So frustrating...
Optimus wanted nothing more than to sit down and just try to relax and think over the new information presented to him... he wanted nothing more than to try to pick through the details given with a fine tooth comb, to look for discrepancies or small details that can reveal more. He wanted to know more about the unknown Autobots on Cybertron, and he wanted to know who the enemy was they had to be mindful of, if it even was a true 'enemy'. There was so much to take into account, and while he wanted a moment just to breathe and figure things out far enough his processor didn’t jump and pop between subjects and clues, he had to follow up on things and in a way... he just needed to seek out the views of someone who's foundation was always so much stronger than his own it seemed.
Upon returning to the Omega Outpost after the awkward meeting between Dart, Starscream and him, Optimus lingered around the Control Room silently. Waiting... working on a few idle things... stalling in a way, for Wheeljack to be dismissed from the Medical Bay and set off to go get some rest in his quarters. It was after the Wrecker was properly freed, the Prime simply waited a little bit longer, starting an internal clock from the point of departure, so that Ratchet could catalogue his files, and get everything tidy. Perhaps one could call it familiarity with the other mech, others may consider it a bit creepy, but Optimus had a rough idea on how long it should take, adding a few extra minutes due to the unsteady nature of the event and added notes that may have been needed to be taken.
Once the appropriate time was found, the Prime finally moved.
The door to the Medical Bay slid aside easily for the large mech, the apparatus one of the newer portions of the base, and as such has yet to show any faults since installation as far as he has been aware. It revealed an area that seemed moderately familiar to their culture, Ratchet getting the choice pick in parts from the Ark to construct the important room. Smoother floors, medical berths and more advanced technology with as few human parts as possible... while there were still things that were 'wrong', one could pretend they were further from the ragtag rock lined base they were actually trapped within.
"I am assuming Wheeljack received a clean bill of health?"
Politely trying to check in, without prying too hard right off the bat.
While Optimus did not like to possibly scrape into another individual's personal medical records, and he would back off under most situations, he was wary of this event, and felt he needed to know so he could assign the other mech appropriate tasks, or possibly confine him to less important roles that would not be detrimental to the team if fumbled or messed up due to backlashes from the event. However, it went unsaid that he would be monitored anyway, no matter what Ratchet may say.
The Prime would remain just inside the door, moved only so far that it would close behind him, but no more, since this was Ratchet's domain and he would not tread bluntly around uninvited.
