-Character Info-
Name: Finale
Age: Early 30’s.
Gender: Femme
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Decepticon
Original Occupation: Dancer/Performer
Occupation/Specialization: Infiltrator/Assassin
Appearance: Almost entirely black save for her altform’s lights and her eyes, Finale is an odd individual to see. A littler shorter than average height for a scout ( a bit shorter than Bumblebee). On her helm are two thin, triangular horn-like projections, starting at the temples. They serve a social purpose, being able to be moved slightly according to her emotion, in much the same way some animals show emotion. They have a slight curve to them, following the curve of her helm, the points ending at the back of her helm. However, Finale’s background as a dancer and performer enables her to manipulate them to her own use, enabling her to appear in an emotion she is not feeling. Finale’s color is a mixture of black, charcoal and midnight blue, no particular pattern discernible, breaking up her overall outline. Two thin wheels are centered in the middle of her back, half sunk into her frame. The other two are located in her ankles.
Faceplate a dark navy, Finale’s almond shaped eyes are a vivid Decepticon Purple, thanks to cosmetic operation she underwent after joining the Decepticons. Finale’s black coloring tends to catch the light when in a well lit area, making her appear oily or glossy. This effect is enhanced by the fact the surface of her mesh does seem to be very smooth. Small biolights on her frame are the same dark purple.
Finale is slender, not needing a great deal of bulk. Her peds are the only heavier thing on her, slightly wider at the bottom, giving her legs from the knees down a triangular look. This feature gave her a more steady footing while dancing. This appearance aided her in her past life of a dancer and performer, allowing her to take on other appearances by wearing disguises or costumes to make her larger or bulkier as needed. Her all black coloring also aided in making it easier to apply paints to make her look as needed for each performance. In essence, she was a black, blank slate awaiting a face.
Finale’s armor is very light, trading it in for great agility and speed while fighting. Her frame’s rounded form and glossy surface tends to make her a little harder to grasp if fighting in close quarters. She has a blackened visor that slides into place when she is fighting or hiding, which blocks all light from her eyes. In this manner, she seems to have no features at all.
Her Decepticon insignia is located on her left upper arm, a deep purple.
Altmode: Concept vehicle Dodge Tomahawk
History:
Finale was created for one purpose, and that was to entertain the higher class mecha within Iacon and Praxus. A dancer and performer, Finale began her career in the more average and mundane clubs and bars. Her boss ensured that she devoted every spare moment she had practicing and honing her art into perfection.
Over a short while, Finale’s skills improved vastly, and she was basically sold to the owner of a higher class club called The Highball, where only the elite met to drink and discuss business deals and the finer pursuits. There she met others that would become her cohort; various singers, other dancers and performers. Finale enjoyed her life, singing and dancing, and took to it with great pleasure. She enjoyed living a rich lifestyle. Making a name for herself, she soon had patrons of her own, who would come to watch her perform, gifting her with money and other fine things.
As her fame grew, Finale was often loaned out to parties in the sky high towers, performing classics and dancing for those who were willing to pay her boss the prices she brought. She performed for private parties, accompanying her cohort.
However, as time went on, Finale’s life began to lose some enjoyment. More and more, she was called on alone to perform, and some of her cohort fell away from her, turning from her in anger. As time continued to pass, Finale began to see the darker side of the elite. Talks of gaining money at others expense. Shutting down businesses to save a few dollars with little regard to how it would affect others. More than once she accidentally overheard discussions bordering on illegal activities. Sniping and backbiting were commonplace.
One customer in particular became oddly obsessed with her dancing skill, and would rent her for performances for himself alone.
One night she accidentally entered a room where a murder had just taken place. The owner of the condo threatened her life if she spoke of it to anyone. Being beholden to her owner, she could not speak out against a customer.
Each time Finale was called back to that same condo to perform, she was uneasy and frightened. The threats made to her grew stronger, and she spoke to her owner, pleading that he no longer send her back. Her master refused, and explained bluntly that she was there to make him money, and nothing else. She would do what she was told to do, and shut up. Smile. Look pretty, perform, and nothing else.
One day, to her horror, Finale discovered she had been purchased by her the one obsessed with her, the one who had committed murder, then used his status to hide it up.
Having no choice but to live with him, Finale’s life now became a living hell. Being nothing more than property, her new master took great enjoyment in having her perform for him at all hours of the day, for guests or for himself alone. And when that became boring, he found new….creative…ways to entertain himself. His pleasures travelled into the darkness, and Finale was dragged along with him.
Finale was trapped in a guilded cage. Surrounded by extreme luxury, she was tortured nearly daily, her master taking great pleasure in tearing her down, inflicting injury after injury upon her, then having his personal doctor repair her in time to force her to perform at a party he would throw. If she showed any signs of pain or fear, the torture would only be that much worse the next time around. Finale’s life was a cycle of fear, horror, terror and pain, covered by smiles and coy laughter, dancing and reciting beautiful poetry, praying she would please her master enough that the pain and humiliation would cease for a few days.
Finale attempted to gain enough money from her patrons to buy herself free from her master, but he was not interested in money.
Eventually, one night, after a grand party he had thrown, he was just getting ready to begin that night’s horrors upon her, when their beautiful tower came under attack by unknown forces. They were both thrown to the floor, and as the tower began to list, the power went off. There was a heavy crashing around them as the building threatened to fall. Finale turned to see her master trapped under a large piece of furniture, begging for help.
Something within Finale snapped. She fled from the wreckage of the falling tower, leaving her Master to his fate. She regrets missing an ability to kill him herself, but takes solace in that he probably died in the collapse. However, there are times she wonders if he still lives, seeking her out. Finale can become extremely paranoid about this, sometimes seeing connections to her old Master that isn’t there.
Finale has no memory of the next few days. Eventually she came to in an old, abandoned building, where survivors were taking shelter. She lived there for a short while. Finale took to thievery in order to survive, and eventually made the mistake of trying to steal energon from a large brute of a mech, heavily damaged and carrying a large weapon. However, instead of being angry, he seemed more amused, and took her under his wing. It was there Finale was introduced to the growing movement, calling themselves Decepticons.
Listening to the speakers, she grew entranced. Although she had lived in a world of riches and finery, she had been as much of a slave to the class system as many others, and here, she found people who believed that your importance was tied to what you could do, not what you were. And when she heard Megatron himself speak, her life gained a meaning.
Although at first few seemed to want to have anything to do with her - surely one so small and delicate was a towerling herself - Finale soon gained respect from those around her as being willing to do anything if it was for the Decepticon cause, no matter how dirty, ugly or disgusting.
A Decepticon began to train her, seeing an advantage to her slight form and size. She began training in stealth, subterfuge, infiltration and assassination. None of these required brute strength - just the opposite. Her background in dancing came in handy, and she created an entire system of fighting based on her original dances. She amusingly calls her self-created martial art style “Sworddancing.”
Finale’s life of torture and degredation broke something within her, and now she easily witnesses extreme violence with little care. She can perform the more henious acts herself with little to no concern or guilt, especially if ordered to do so by a higher up. Some have said her life under the “care” of her Master killed any conscious within her.
Now, Finale lives to serve Megatron. She is devoted to him and his causes, and would willingly die for him should it become necessary.
Personality: Finale is driven to serve Megatron. She is quiet but intense - some might even say crazy. It’s true that given her past history, her thinking can be a little….shattered at times, but she is not adverse to common sense if it is explained to her. Clearly. Finale sees just about everything in black and white, and has little love for liars or lapdogs. That being said, she is not above lying herself if needed, but will only do so if required as part of the job. She is loyal, and while not a perfect “soldier”, her past history as a performer and dancer has enforced in her the importance of training. Finale is constantly training, trying to achieve greater results in order to bring the Decepticons to victory and glory to Megatron.
It is almost as if there are two people within Finale; the ordinary Decepticon, and the Assassin. While she can seem friendly and easy going as the former, she can perform the most horrible acts while doing work as the latter, and will not bat an eye. She will fight with her swords and pistols as needed, but when she is actively hunting as an assassin, she prefers to use the tools of her trade. It is an odd facet of her personality - outwardly brawling while hunting a target is gauche, and using her hunting skills during normal combat is disloyal to her calling as an assassin. For example, she would never simply shoot a target, but would rather take them by surprise and dispatch them using her toxins, bladed weapons, or even other means. The only exception to this is if her contract specifies a specific method of death.
Likes: Megatron. Megatron. Megatron. The Decepticon cause. Music. Earth culture (music and performances). She enjoys giving performances of dancing or playing music for her fellow Decepticons, but will not do so if asked or expected. Only if she is willing will she do so, and those times are rare. Songbirds. Martial arts of Earth.
Dislikes: Autobots. They represent the broken system where the elite were above the law, and corruption and decay was covered up with gold and music. Optimus Prime for being in opposition to Megatron. Mecha who assume she is a towerling.
Strengths/Weapons: Finale is agile, lithe, and quick, and she uses that to her advantage. She uses anything and everything to her advantage in a fight. If she has no weapons at hand, she will literally pick up a rock and attempt to bash your brains in with it. Her main fighting skill, however, is her combined dancing/martial arts. She can move in, strike several times, and be out of grasping range in the blink of an eye. While she doesn’t have a lot of strength, Finale makes up for it by targeting weak spots on her enemies. When she is acting as an assassin and on the hunt, she makes uses of more exotic weapons.
Finale prefers to use exterior weapons rather than have her own servos transform. She carries two energy handguns, located at the small of her back (similar in appearance to a Glock G17). Finale prefers not to use them if possible, preferring to get in close to her opponent. She only uses them as a ranged in the event she is unable to reach her opponent. The handguns have a short use time, and long recharge rate, making them unsuitable for long shoot outs. They can pierce light to medium armor, and have an average range of most mid level blasters.
Daggers: Finale carries a dagger. A simple strike can be enough to cause pain, although not necessarily a lethal wound. If fighting with her dagger, Finale prefers to to strike often and quickly, moving back out of reach, only to lunge in again. Slowing, weakening, and then bleeding an opponent dry is one way she will take down those larger than her. The dagger is hidden within her right forearm, and is spring loaded. It can snap forward into her hand in a second should she need it. Her dagger is coated with a chemical sedative, that can cause her enemy to become sluggish or dizzy. The recipe for the sedative is a secret that Finale carries, and she only if she trusts someone or has no other way of getting it will she hand it over to someone to create for her. Her dagger can penetrate all but the heaviest of armor, but the sedative’s effect is lessened according to the strength or size of her opponent.
Garrote: Finale carries an electrical garrotte in a shoulder space.. She generally uses it only when she is hired to kill someone, but will use it if necessary for her survival. The garrotte is an extremely thin blackened wire with two metallic cylinders at each end. The wire retracts into one of these cylinders, so when not in use, it resembles a simple object consisting of two black metallic cylinders standing side by side. When activated by a recessed button on the bottom of one of the cylinders, the garrotte’s wire electrifies, shocking her victim. In general, the electricity can burn the mesh of the neck, and may shock the processor in an attempt to knock out, silence, or cripple her victim mentally. This enables Finale to then finish off her victim in whatever way she wishes, or her contact has paid for. It is generally used against larger targets if Finale feels they would be too difficult to take on directly. It’s success depends on the strength and vitality of her victim.
Shortblades: Finale’s main weapons are her two shortblades she wears at her hips. They are good, strong Cybertronian metal, extremely sharp and steady. They have no special powers. The hilts protrude slightly from her hips, sheathed in her outer thighs.
Weaknesses: Finale’s weaknesses aren’t many, but they are powerful. Her main one being her slight stature, slender form, and nearly no armor. A good hit will incapacitate her quickly; a good hit from a large bot might kill her outright. Likewise, a good solid shot with a gun will incapacitate her. Finale is not strong. Her weapons are either ranged, or rely on quick slicing attacks for the most part. She is a glass cannon.
Bondage: Having been tortured by her master for so long, Finale has a terrible fear of being tied up or hindered in any way such as being forced into small spaces. Although she will make use of a small enclosure in order to take out a target, she does not enjoy small, enclosed spaces. Upon entering any new location, Finale will scope out all the exits and entrances, as well as any windows or possible escape routes, more to give herself the comfort of knowing she isn’t stuck in any area. She prefers to sit with her back against a wall, so that the open spaces are before her.
Whiteness! Her dark coloring makes sudden strikes in dark places easy, but in bright, well lit areas she tends to stand out like a sore thumb. As a result, Finale tends to try to stick to darker places, but this isn’t always easy. Her worst nightmare would be trying to fight or kill someone in the artic.
Special Skills:
No color: Being so dark, Finale is practically invisible in the dark. When she uses her visor, there is almost nothing to even give her a face, save her mouth. She can dim her biolights to near invisibility, enabling her to vanish almost completely in darkness. However, in regular light, she tends to stand out. She considers this a fair trade off, however, as the only time she needs to hide or lurk is when hunting for a contract, and generally hunts only at night or in darkened places. If you see her clearly any other time, she does not care and will fight.
Motionless: Likewise, her background as a performer has given her extreme control over her body, and she can stand or crouch, motionless, for extended periods of time without moving the slightest. In this way, she often waits for her victims.
Lightfoot: Being so slender, Finale is not heavy at all, and can move almost silently.
One foot: Having been a dancer, and having been created for that purpose, Finale has good balance skills, and can perch on the smallest surfaces.
