Starscream would ease himself back a little to lean against the table, optics still focused on Finale. That single clawed digit would continue to gently tap - pausing only a moment as her gaze shifted to the monitors behind him.
The monitors were displaying nothing special at all, it seemed. Or at least nothing important enough to the point that Starscream felt the need to hide the contents. One appeared to be a map of Blackridge itself - additions scribbled almost haphazardly on top of the rooms that were already there, possibly plans for extending the space. Things were cramped, and that was even after a majority of Vehicons had been relocated to work in the mines. The other monitors were filled with lists, glyphs, and various graphs - seemingly related to Energon production and rosters.
“Ah, so this will be your first time visiting. Good - I assume this means you will be all the more observant given the new surroundings, then?”
That’s how it worked with him, at any rate. In any new location, he took note of small details that others may miss. Especially in recent days now that he was Lord of the Decepticons. Megatron may not have worried about someone bigger than him taking power, but Starscream wasn’t exactly the fighting sort, and there were those that were stronger than he who were still very much loyal to their former Warlord.
Then again it wasn’t always about size.
“As for the Autobots… Well, lets just say that mining activity from them has been practically non-existent since the introduction of the Truce. Before the ceasefire they raided our mines as a way to get by…” a wicked grin spread on his faceplate.
“So yes, I think they are.”
Still resting against the table, he’d gently fold both arms before continuing.
“Do I think they are helping themselves? Well, desperate times call for desperate measures - I wouldn’t put it past at least some of them to go against Optimus Prime’s wishes and bend the rules a little...”
He knew the Prime would be against them taking anything from the Neutrals, but what he did not know would not hurt him.
His gaze met hers once more, and he would bob his helm.
“I will expect a full report once you return.” that was all the ‘permission’ she would get.
Easing himself into a stand once more, he would unfold his arms - ready to move forward and pull the tarp properly back into place once she had left the room. There may not have been anything of importance on the monitors at this moment, but Starscream was undoubtedly planning things that he did not wish to be seen.
