A little more freeform request than the other two Autobots who went to Storage.
It was perhaps a bit of a risky move sending the duo that had been chosen, but there was method to the madness. While Bluestreak or someone else overly chatty and talkative may have been a smart choice, to mill and flow conversations seamlessly from topic to topic, Optimus knew sending the sniper into an area that could have Decepticons actively lingering was a recipe for disaster. He would not put his Autobot through such trauma. Instead, he exploited two others to fill the roles needed.
Patch was a kind and bubbly personality who would likely find no fault or issue with chatting with people in the Bar area. While Optimus did not know her for very long, she seemed like she could manage a conversation if needed, and would work with others, even if Decepticons were present. She managed to work with the Decepticons to get to Earth without much issue. Even if it troubled her to do so, she showed an active ability to communicate to them, and this would likely translate easily to speaking with those who stood outside of the war's influence.
In addition, the young medic would also be able to speak to Jeopardy in his language, report to his Medical Bay and properly warn him about this newfound disease and what could be done to manage it, if not slow its advancement. With Ratchet busy fine tuning what had been found out, she would be the next best thing to throw into that domain.
Paired with her, was the riskier choice.
Carbine was a carrier, and not necessarily in the literal sense of owning a Cassette. He harbored the disease in his systems, yet did not fall into the feral state that Bumblebee had. Ratchet had found out much though his assistance, able to tell if things felt weird or off, able to use him as means to seek out a cure, and actually find a solution that stabilized individuals. Find out it couldn't be spread through air or aura. This meant that his input, his ability to answer questions Jeopardy may have, was priceless since he LIVED it.
The fact the ex-cop also enjoyed chatting and talking with others was a boon. Permit him to gossip mill and work with some of the individuals in the Bar, able to guide the conversation to find out if the Decepticons were trying anything funny or were otherwise out of line. It was because of these shaky foundations, that the two would be cut free, Optimus gesturing up the North pathway that lead to the Bar and general recreational area.
While the Control Room held rough rock walls and stone flooring, the hallway to the Bar grew far more clean cut and refined the further they walked. Uneven ground transitioning to smooth level metal, walls slipping from tooled stone to sleek panels... Dirt and grime, all mopped away to try to reveal a smoother and well kept living area, even if dust and debris littered the gap between floor and wall. After this transitional hallway, the bar area would balloon out, an absolutely immense room that was clearly made to impress, inspire, and showcase that Haven was not just some shoddy hole in the wall.
Large tables, smaller tables, varied seating and adjustable areas. Smooth walls of metal, rough rocks that jutted into the area in beautiful displays of nature's odd formations with crevices and natural gaps formed... On the far wall from them was the bar, pristine, and well cleaned, a smooth curved tabletop with ample seating and a gap for the bartender to work and manage incoming funds and trades for drink. Glass bottles ran up the wall behind the bar itself, tints of blue and pink, green lacing in with purples and golds, every sort of flavor that could be synthesized, with bins of powder and jars of filler that could be incorporated. Wisps curled lazily out of a sub-zero canister of liquid nitrogen to the left, paired beside empty glasses and cubes.
The Bar appeared empty for the moment; chairs shuffled a bit, a mop station abandoned along the right wall with water still in it, and some tools lazily cast across one of the work tables with a tool box. Some rough scaffolding sat to the right, it appearing something was being done to clean up the area, perhaps shut down at the moment for repairs or additions.
