Name: Bob
Age (or human equivalent): Unknown, assumed to be in his prime
Gender (or human equivalent): Meck(?)
Species: Cybertronian-Insecticon
Faction: Neutral/The Twins and Twisters
Occupation/Specialization: Tracker, pet, big guy, strong and loyal
Appearance/Altmode: He transforms into a large beetle like creature and in his robot mode, Megatron comes up to his chest. Bob has the basic design of your average Insecticon, with one exception. The horn in his alt mode just slides back to rest just behind his shoulders and folds out, becoming a sort of siege cannon, comparable to a tank.
History:
Bob was created some time back in the war, built to serve the Decepticon cause and help back up the smaller drone factions such as the Eradicons. This time was filled with little more then constant fighting and constant eating, as the Insecticons followed the orders of their masters. Bob was no different, though born a sub-group of Insecticons designed for more tank like firepower, he was just another faceless pair of mandibles in the crowd, not even a name to call his own. Though to be fair if he was ever given a name he most likely forgot it and ended up just being an Insecticon, never really defining himself beyond this destination.
During the war Bob was part of a group of an Insecticon scout force were to make sure the way was clear of any Autobots. They were ambushed and Bob pinned under rubble set free in the fire-fight, left for dead. Assumed he was destroyed by his kin the insect was forced to lay and wait for quite some time. Until a pair of wandering bots stumbled across him. They were known as ruthless, two of the most impressive warriors in the war, surly they would end Bob where he lay. But instead of ending his life the Twins reported the area clear of hostiles and left the helpless bot on his own.
Confused the Insecticon tried to follow them to try and understand the meaning behind these actions, but he ended up lost in the chaos of war. Bob's limited mind began to wonder if maybe all robots were nice, perhaps the age of mindlessly slaughtering and chewing on everything in his path should end. Bob ended up tagging along a neutral group, they were of course weary of him at first but after they began to feed the Insecticon scrap metal he was treated much like a turbo-puppy. The bots didn't have too much to do other then avoiding fights, for one they rather liked music, something they often had playing on one com or another. As time went on he started to nod his head in rhythm to the music, 'bobbing' in a sense, when brought up it sounded like such an odd way to describe an Insecticon. So in a fit of humor one of the bots named the bug Bob. Though this is a translated term the original name given to him was based on the Cybertronian word for 'bobbing'.
Bob followed the small group for quite some time, at least until he heard com-chatter that the war was ending. Still being an Insecticon, Bob wanted to know how his kin were fairing, with a heavy spark he left to go see what the Decepticons and his Hive were up to.
To his dismay the Decepticons declared victory, in which the surviving few Insecticons were posted on Cybertron and ordered to go into stasis mode to save energy. Though he would rather remain awake and find some bot to stalk once more, Bob's drive to follow orders told him that this was not something to be ignored. However Bob, as some of his kind, was rather dim, enough so that he went into stasis on the back of the Nemesis, carried all the way to Earth he detached in reentry and fell into a bog located in Florida, where he remained in his deep stasis for quite some time.
Personality:
Bob was once rash, violent and almost always roaring in rage about something or another. In fact he used to feel no other emotion than anger, seething like a pot boiling over every second of the day. This all changed when he met the Twins and began to follow other bots around, treated as more then just a weapon or cannon fodder he became attached to them, opening the dull Insecticon up to a wide spectrum of emotions he never even considered. The once fearsome killer of all things has become rather peaceful, useless to just about anyone in general. His entire being shifted from fighting and fuel-shed to three basic subjects that make up the center of the Insecticon's limited being.
The first is music, he seems attracted to it like a moth to flame, he will sit motionless and listen, practically blind to everything happening around him. As he listened he developed the habit of bobbing his head along with music, this is what gave him his name. The second is taking orders, he likes having some sort of goal he can single-mindedly follow. Without some general idea of what to do he just stands about and does nothing, in these times Bob feels lost and alone, being driven to the point that he will jump to any vague suggestion just to have something to do. The last is eating, like any Insecticon he loves to eat and feast, taking in far more then he could ever burn, forcing himself to go into stasis until he is able to recover. He also seems to like two groups of robots, oddly related they are known as the 'Twins' and another set he met well after his crash landing, a pair female counterparts called the 'Twisters'. Bob likes them and will happily tag along where ever they go, to the point that he'll even ignore an order from a higher ranking Decepticon, who he was originally supposed to follow.
Likes:
-Food such as energon, metal, trees, plants or whatever else is laying around.
-The Twins and Twisters.
-Sleep.
-Blowing stuff up and fighting.
-Almost any and every kind of music, it mellows him.
-Sparklings.
-Any young bots, he finds the more child like mindset closer to his own and easier to relate.
-Humming.
Dislikes:
-Rap.
-Screamo.
-Any bot telling him what he should and should not be listening to.
-Largely anyone who are not the Twins or Twisters, with some exceptions.
-Not real big on destruction for the sake of destruction.
Strengths/Weapons:
Brute strength, enough so that he can go toe to toe with other Insecticons and by extension other heavy hitting bots. Bob's strength is quite fearsome in close combat, even untrained his natural instincts make him and any other Insecticon a danger when up close and personal. He has a second pair of arms, razor sharp they make short work of any mech or chunk of metal in his way. These arms are mostly used to catching and turning the blades of enemies, making them good counters in general to keep his larger, slower arms from getting overwhelmed by quicker bots. Add to the mix that fearsome bite of all his kin that can rip right through most metals, adding to their internal hunger and he munches his way across wherever he is. Lastly is the big gun, a powerful cannon formed from the beetle horn, sitting on the center of his back, it has a slow rate of fire but utterly devastating. Good for suppressing groups of foes or just causing damage in general, it has some decent range on it as well.
Weaknesses:
Bob is about as smart as a sack of wet rats, he's easy to distract and confuse. In a game of wits he is a twisted damp towel. He also has a fascination with music, breaking off a fight even just to listen to it, at least he will try if he thinks he can get away with it and not be punished. Even though he's a flier, Bob isn't all that skillful in the air, unable to pull off the same level of speed and agility as a basic Seeker. Also his alt mode causes some problems, the Insecticon is only able to act in the middle of no where or in a robot base, otherwise he sticks out like a sore thumb no matter where he skitters. Something else that showed up later, after Bob's interactions with the Twins and their counterparts, Bob seems to have gone soft. Either unable or unwilling to take a life no matter what is on the line, something seen as a massive flaw to other Insecticons. He also lacks the standard wrist mounted blasters of most Insecticons, making him rely on his cannon more for ranged battles, slow to fire it is a good over all weapon, but is unable to rapidly fire and keep the foes pinned down, forcing him to wait as it reloads, leaving him rather open to a hail of returning fire.
Special skills (that are not weapon related): Bob is able to walk on walls and move with shocking stealth, so much so that even trained warriors have some trouble detecting him as he moves in for an ambush. Designed to be mobile warriors, Insecticons are able to eat metal, wood and a select few other substances to burn as energy in the same way a Cybertronian might energon. Bob has a powerful sense of smell, his olfactory receptors are very strong and with enough time he can slowly track a bot or biological, though if the scent is older then four days he will have extreme trouble finding the target.
