Battle already.
Later, Elita would feel weary. Emotionally exhausted. The grinding weariness of someone who was hoping for a rest and didn't get it. Later.
//Hot Rod, cover Verdigris and Azimuth. Show me what that bow of yours can do and I'll help you convince her to make a crystal pie after this is over.// Best for the smaller femme to stick with long-range tactics - she didn't like the look of that Decepticon pouring smoke and sparks onto the sand a good 150 meters away. If ou could shake off whatever had been done to hir, she didn't want Hot Rod in grabbing range.
But there was no sense worrying about that until it happened. Her current opponent was an Insecticon, staggering to hir pedes with a snarl, hurting but not downed by Verdi's self-introduction. Elita stepped in before ou could regain hir balance, putting herself in between hir and Verdi with her hammer already swinging. Clang- the business end hit the Insecticon's jaw, putting hir on the back pede again, and Elita reversed her swing and hit hir again, higher on the face. This time she heard metal split as the Insecticon staggered back, crashing straight onto hir aft with a screech that was more affront than pain.
Let's see if I can't change that.
She advanced, ducked a sweep of claws - the Insecticon had a fast recovery time, she'd give it that much - and struck again, this time with a spinning kick that had put the Prime on the ground once. It didn't do quite as much to her opponent, the solid build and slung-low shape not as easy to unbalance, but the new angle of attack surprises hir enough that Elita can get in a good windup for an uppercut that makes the Insecticon leave the ground entirely for a moment before coming back down in an inelegant crash.
"Stay down," she advises hir. Not all Insecticons were sapient enough to understand when she spoke to them, but it was worth a try.
