Apping two characters

I've stalked this site for some time and at countless times I've thought about joining, only to find life changing in that annoying way it always does. Now it doesn't seem to change anymore though and I've found enough courage to at least ask my question.

As the headline says, my question is about apping two characters, but I've read the rules and tumbled upon this one: "New players must wait one month from acceptance of their first character before apping a second." I fully understand why it's there, having been the co-owner of a RP-site myself, but I simply wanted to ask if there's any way to be allowed to app two characters as the first time? I can come with a detailed description/a full app for both characters if it's needed when considering it, but in essence it's a Neutral/Autobot(haven't decided) mech, who has ended up dragging an Eradicon along for the ride. So for it to work with either character, it's needed to app them at the same time, as they will arrive to Earth together.

That's really just all I had to ask about. If it's impossible, I'll think about another character, but there's never been any harm in asking, now has there? Although, as I've written this, I've only just realised that I don't know if an Eradicon can even defect, though I can say so much that he didn't just get asked to leave the Decepticon ranks.

Hopefully someone have time to answer and if not, then I'll just wait patiently. It's just been Christmas after all! Also, I apologize for any mistakes, whether it be in spelling or grammar. English isn't my first language, but I'll do my best.

We could compromise by having the second character listed as an NPC at first with the intention to turn them into a 'full' character after the first month of active writing has passed. There aren't any Original Character NPCs in action at the moment, but Cleaver started out as one before becoming fully-fledged. It would basically mean that the character has no account of their own, but a bio for them is up in the Characters board to be read, and they would be exempt from activity checks. You would then submit their bio as an application to the Mods when able to do so.

This, of course, depends on your having had a first character accepted.

In this 'verse, there is a growing population of Eradicons who have gained true sentience ('awakened' is the term commonly used), taking on names and demonstrating unique personalities. This separates them from the creche-produced drones they all initially started as. Megatron took over the creches in the early years of the war to supplement his army, and is permitting (and quietly encouraging) of this developing free will and independent thought amongst the grunts. Unwavering loyalty is still demanded, however...

I actually hadn't considered that, but it might work. The Eradicon could probably just be a NPC in the start, as he would most likely never move anywhere alone in the start anyway. It probably wouldn't be beyond anyone, to shoot him on sight until they know who he is. But I have a question: how much can I use him, when/if he's a NPC? Am I allowed to make post purely from his perspective or must it just be incorporated in posts from my 'real' character? Either is fine with me, I just want to know what limits I have.

Good, so what I have in mind is possible and when it comes to the loyalty... Loyalty can always shift, as dear Starscream has proven so often, and he's still around. Not that you can really compare an Eradicon and the SIC. In the end though, I think he, the Eradicon, can live with knowing that he'll get blown to smithers if he shows himself, for hasn't it always been that way? Now the one destroying him is just the Decepticons instead of the Autobots. So... same, same, different name.

Sitting and playing around with both characters, I've stumbled upon something and thus have a question: do Eradicons have a face under their masks or is it all they got?

So long as there's an OOC note at the top of each post to indicate that it's for a specific NPC character, and not the character to whom the account belongs, it's fine to post the NPC 'alone'.
