We are a literate, intermediate to advanced AU Transformers RPG Based off of the first season of TFP with dashes of other incarnations sprinkled here or there. Characters from any continuity are welcome however must be restyled to match the TFPrime universe.
Active, with ongoing plotlines, we are always willing to integrate new characters into storylines once incorporated into the setting.
I have a disappointing number of screenshots because a) I kept forgetting to screenshot and b) I kept swapping between my keyboard to my xbox controller and, consequently, kept trying to screenshot with a disconnected keyboard.
ANYWAY.
Things learnt while playing WFC.
1. The real enemy in this game for Blue was jumping.
I spent a lot of time just doing this, watching her try and fail to climb obstacles. There was a sequence where we had to jump from space debris to space debris which was just one long montage of Blue dying. Eventually, I just made it to the other side before she could die and teleported the whole party there.
2. Blue cannot escape a burning, crashing ship to save her life.
I disappointingly don't have a screenshot of Blue's little player name trapped inside the crashing ship while I hovered safely outside and laughed at her (at this point, Starscream was calling Skywarp an idiot and yet t'was not the Dork who failed to escape). I do however, have the screenshot where Blue was flying so badly, Starscream had to go down and join her in some sort of misplaced concern. Like, he'd already landed at the next part and then he turned back to go down there and observe TC's failure in person.
Ren and I had a go at playing War for Cybertron yesterday. There were so many excellent moments and I somehow racked up 300+ screenshots. Here's a select few outta those screenshots (with the laziest of editing to blow up the subtitles).
Here we have Starscream and Skywarp's excellent working relationship (Ren was using Screamer, I was playing the Dork, of course)
Starscream is fond of the word 'fools'.
Skywarp has a legitimate question
There's only one response to that from Starscream
Yeah, you tell him Skywarp. Time to get a new manager, methinks.
Moving on from the seekers, next up is Megatron, Breakdown and Soundwave. We chose not to play Megatron because letting him do his own thing is far more hilarious. Ren went Breakdown and I picked up Soundwave. Soundwave didn't have much to say but Breakdown? Breakdown and Megatron were EXCELLENT.
Enjoy the snark.
First stop, the train section. Breakdown was...hesitant about this part.
Breakdown: You're kidding, right?
Fun fact: Megatron died a couple of times while we were progressing down the tunnel. However, the computer controlled characters are essentially immortal and will immediately respawn without needing you to hurry over and revive them.
We knew Megatron was dying because he kept lovingly yelling this at us, whenever he got hit by a train.
You'd make Starscream proud, Breakdown. I also caught Ren mid-transformation in that screenshot and Breakdown is a complete and total mess of disconnected parts in the bottom right hand corner.
Breakdown, after watching the shortest and most fail bombing run in the history of bombing runs.
[Megatron ain't having none of your shit, Breakdown. Obviously, it wasn't the fault of Megatron's plan. Nuhuh, his plan was brilliant
Megatron, being a backseat driver Breakdown is regretting his decision to listen to the backseat driver.
Megatron, on Autobot elevators.
Alright, time to take a break from the Breakdown and Megatron show and have a look what Soundwave is doing.
Oh, oh what's that? Soundwave is standing the hell away from the two of them and not getting anywhere near Omega Supreme. Y'all have fun, you two.
Yup, I spent this entire part just watching them engage with Omega from a distance, The door is right behind me too, so I can be the first one to escape once we need to move on from this section.
Alrighty, time to wrap up this thing, was saving the best for last. The next section was like this:
We had to walk through some pipes which were having the occasional flow of death energy through them, so we had to not been in the pipes when that was happening. Pretty simple, right? Megatron did not get that memo.
Umm...Megatron, you wanna get out of that pipe? It's about to flush itself with death.
Not only did he die, but he respawned next to us in the safe Not-Death-Pipe zone. And then chose to walk back (and I mean back, he wasn't advancing forwards in the level) into the Death Pipe. Again. And again. And again. And again. Die, respawn, walk back into death. About five times while we were watching, with him berating us all the time about how dangerous the pipes were.
Eventually, he wandered back to us before he could get fried kinda sheepishly in vehicle mode. Only his trials weren't over. We had one more section to go.
Will he make it to us without dying...? Next second:
We had another go at WFC, this time three of us with Zercon, Ren and I. We cleared the Decepticon half of the story completely and moved onto the Autobot squad. Ren played Bumblebee, Zercon obviously played Prime so that left me with Ratchet.
Bumblebee's alt mode had this side-ways flip ability that Ren greatly enjoyed it. She pretty much spent a lot of time doing this:
Flipping around and driving with one side of the car.
It backfired on her.
Big time.
In an amazing way.
...Bumblebee are you stuck between that window and that pile of crates...
Oh my gawd.
You are.
You really, really are.
We fixed Bumblebee's stuck in the wall problem by advancing far enough in the level that he was teleported to us. But Ren was absolutely stuck there, it was amazing.
We also did a lot of random fights with each other. There was a point where Zer went away from her computer, leaving her character in a safe spot and came back and thought she was under attack, only to realise it was Ren and I bashing her on either side.
Here's a friendly ride up an elevator:
Ooh, Bee going low for Prime's legs.
Ratchet's whipped out an axe and joined the fray to take on Bee while Prime looks on, unimpressed and kinda mad.
Oh shit, PLAYER THREE HAS JOINED THE GAME.
Meanwhile, I think my internet backfired on me to some hilarious results, mainly Ratchet tripping out:
Me: hey, is anyone seeing this guy just floating in the air over there...?
AS DID GETTING MYSELF WEDGED IN THAT GAP. I have no idea how I did that honestly, I was flipping around being silly and hurtled myself over that crate into the space, it was perfect really. I like the screenshot of Prime rushing toward me to try and help, ahaha.
