We are a literate, intermediate to advanced AU Transformers RPG Based off of the first season of TFP with dashes of other incarnations sprinkled here or there. Characters from any continuity are welcome however must be restyled to match the TFPrime universe.
Active, with ongoing plotlines, we are always willing to integrate new characters into storylines once incorporated into the setting.
So, I'm wondering when we're going to be getting around to some honest-to-goodness battle threads?
Not that I'm not enjoying the character interaction threads going on, but I also enjoying action heavy and intense just as much if not more. And the Truce has kinda put a damper on that between Autobots and Decepticons, so I'm feeling kinda boxed in terms of options of how to do that Arcee, especially if we're not 'supposed' to go out on or act on our own while in character, though it is very much a part of her character.
I like playing Arcee because I can exercise a lot of creativity in how I fight with her and explore her trauma which comes to light more during conflict. Right now the only thread I have with potential combat is dead in the water (One Mech, Two Mech).
So is there something in the works I can look forward to or can I have Arcee go off on her own for a bit and get a stern lecture from Prime later?
It is always up to a character if they want to abide by the rules placed down before them or not. There are no literal locks separating an Autobot from leaving the base, and there is nothing to force them to have to grab someone else to scout with. But that said, there are bound to be consequences for disobeying the rules that have been appointed for the entire team. If someone recognizes the troubles their character can get in, and wishes to risk it or see if they can talk their way out from under the boot, than they are welcome to try, but it may not end well for future freedoms.
That is completely up to Arcee and what she ((and by extension you)) wishes to risk.
On regards to actual fighting threads, I know I personally thrive in action situations, and love those sorts of interactions, but we aren’t really in a place where they are as prevalent as they may have been otherwise. The setting in which this RP and world is formed, is one of turmoil, conflict, and near constant battle. This is something to expect ((I imagine)) in any Transformers environment, which is why this truce is so particularly challenging and interesting to explore.
But as fun as it is, it also lops a huge element of Role-Play away that some may hunger for or may have initially joined to seek out.
While I cannot offer an answer on WHEN the next big thing will be, or offer a thread in which Arcee confronts something that needs to be attacked, I can say that with MECH out and about, there are bound to be things in the future worth getting into arms about. Until then, seeking practice spars are a viable option, to tackle this truce as a time to train and groom talents to prepare for when the hammer eventually drops. The truce cannot last forever, and those who grow stagnant may be felled when the war kicks back into gear.
Just my thoughts on the matter, and an apology on the slowness right now.
If you want to write a combat thread, go for it. MECH are still picking on patrols. Team up with another Autobot, get pounced, puppet some MECH goons having a go, and have a nice big fight. Throw in some Eradicons if you want as well in the interests of adding more conflict, since the Autobots can't shoot at the Decepticons now, and the squishy humans have always been on the 'don't kill and try not to maim or even slightly injure' list.
