Starscream would lean back a little as Vega once again took the datapad from him, moving one servo to rest behind him for support. It was chilly out, not that he took much notice – and stars were scattered throughout the almost cloudless sky. He could see why some avoided the flight deck, it was so very sparse and open – making those who lingered here easy targets for snipers or other attacks. It didn't seem to bother Starscream, and he relished and enjoyed the fact he could find some peace and quiet up here. Nothing would beat flying when it came to clearing his head, but when he needed some downtime? This was usually where he'd be. Luckily for Vega, she seemed tolerable enough to the point he didn't seem to mind her being up here either.
At least for now.
As she responded to his question, he'd sit up straight once more – tapping one long slender claw against the metal panels of the flooring in absent thought.
“That you have.” He smirked. “All in due time – I must say, I'm interested to see your capabilities and skills when it comes to flying.” His words purred, although they sounded genuine enough. Having more fliers was always a welcome thing, especially as he was the one that led and took command of them.
His gaze would drift down at the movement of her making her move on the datapad, and he'd take it back as it was offered, and would look at it. Ah, so this time she'd moved two paces with one of her pawns. The middle of the 'battlefield' was still mostly open territory, as only his pawn had ventured far out.
He took note of how his Queen could now make her way from her assigned spot if he so chose. One pawn stood infront of Vega's King, although if he defeated that, it made his Queen an easy target. Rushing ahead like that would be foolish, and so he would look at what other pieces he could move. His optics would narrow in thought, before he seemed to have made his decision and would make his move – sliding the pawn from A2 into the A4 position. The timer would reset, and he would pass the datapad back.
“I am sure you are more than well enough to do basic duties – at this point he is just taking advantage and dragging it out unnecessarily.” His lip would curl into a sneer. “Once we are done here, I shall look into it. With the truce in effect we need everybody doing their part, after all.”
He knew he wouldn't have to do much to get Knock Out to release her from 'Medical Leave' – others had been through much worse and still carried out their duties just fine. She'd probably be free to do her part in the Decepticon war effort as soon as tomorrow, at least if he had anything to say about it.
“So, Vega - what did you do back on Cybertron?” He asked after a moment of quiet. Another question to fill what would be probably an awkward silence, also a slightly underhanded tactic to keep her talking so she didn't focus fully on the game at hand, hopefully making her open to making a mistake.
At least for now.
