Xero... Xero you have so much to learn. The comment about having little reason to fear a single human made Bee tense up and shake his head before leaving his altmode. Never underestimate humans. They'd learned that the hard way. This random man may have been alone, but that didn't mean they could let down their guard, even just a little.
It was with this mindset that Bee's holoform left his altmode. He was tense, that much was obvious in the way he moved to stand in front of Miko protectively without so much as a nod to the other male. It was a little weird and rude, especially after Odessa had reacted nicely to Miko (not that he heard that part!) - but he'd rather look weird than risk putting her into any danger.
Well, any more danger - since Xero had just driven straight in here and right up to the possibly dangerous human in question, and allowed Miko to leave her altmode...
Door locks. Use them.
::--I am relaxed man--.:: Came a rather curt response, cutting in to Carbine's comment suggesting that Xero tell him to calm down. He was anything but calm, even though he knew he probably should be. At least Carbine's idea seemed plausible – it made sense, play into some eccentric art collector thing, like those fancy ladies with their snooty glasses and hoity-toity walks like he'd seen on TV. Xero's holoform at least kind of looked the part, she looked professional and someone who would work with art – and Bee's holoform was scruffy enough that he could be the 'lackey' who was tasked with building things and doing the dirty work like finding things from junkyards.
Okay yeah that could work.
Only... Xero didn't follow that plan, and the excuse given made no sense at all. They'd heard noises from this location and rather than turning tail and going away from possible danger? Drove straight up.
He didn't like the way the male was staring him down. Then again he couldn't exactly judge, he was standing here like some overprotective father in silence. He wouldn't avert his gaze as Odessa pushed off the machine, and his holoform would straighten up in response.
He could probably take this guy if it came down to it. Holoform or not, Bee knew how to fight. His holoform was solid enough that it was at least realistic - but he'd never actually fought with it before or done anything with it other than walking around and a few simple tasks.
Hopefully it wouldn't come down to it, but the short responses to Xero, and the way that he was squaring up against Bee's holoform had him even more on edge than before. Something wasn't right about this guy.
::--What are you doing?--:: A quick, quiet comm to Xero. ::--That story makes no sense and now he's annoyed!--:: Oh sure, blame Xero for that – it wasn't like Bee had gone in acting like he had an issue with this dude...
He wouldn't move from the spot he was standing, the blue eyes of his holoform narrowing just slightly as he continued this weird staring match – although would cast a glance down to Miko as she suddenly appeared at his side. Then straight back to Odessa.
