-PLAYER INFO-
Name/Alias: Ren
-CHARACTER INFO-
Name: Miko Nakadai
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Faction: Autobots, duh!
Original Occupation: Exchange Student
Occupation/Specialization: Student, Wrecker (in training), Current high score holder at Zombie Attack Force!
Appearance:
Miko may not be the tallest of girls, but that doesn't mean she goes unnoticed. Making up for her rather average height and skinny build with loud and colorful clothing, favoring a punk look both in terms of outfit and general style. She keeps her black hair tied into two short pigtails with a larger ponytail down the back, tied at the end, with bright pink streaks throughout – the most noticeable of which being the larger one that hangs down just above her eyes. Her usual outfit is colorful and bright, and she's never seen without her brown combat boots.
History:
Miko was born in Tokyo, Japan. From an early age, her parents wanted nothing but the best for her – and at age three she started piano lessons. Due to her parent's wealth and good intentions, she went to all the best schools, had two purebred cats and lived a relatively normal, mundane life filled with school and extracurricular activities.
Except normal was boring. Nothing ever happened – it was the same, day in day out. Go to school, get good grades, excel at piano and art, do mountains of homework. Rinse and repeat.
It was all too perfect. All too boring – and for someone as adventurous as Miko? This would not do. Oh, how she longed for adventure and something more! Something that wasn't just keeping up her grades and pleasing her parents. It was so monotonously mind-numbing and she needed something new – and soon!
Thankfully though? She would soon get her wish. Her high school had a program for exchange students to take part, where students from her school would switch places with those in other countries. They could go to all kinds of places – brochures advertising sister-schools all over the world! England! Australia! Even Russia! But one really stood out to her – and she snatched the brochure up in an instant.
Jasper Nevada, USA - the entertainment capital of the world!
It didn't take much to convince her parents to let her go. She'd kept up her good grades and for the most part was an ideal student! She met all the requirements and it didn't take long for things to be put into motion and she was transferred to the United States.
...Only to find out the brochure had been a lie. Jasper wasn't the entertainment capital of the world, Jasper was the most boring place in the universe!
Ugh!
It didn't take her long to adapt to western culture or the language, quickly becoming fluent in English – but she still found herself bored and restless in this sleepy little town with nothing to do. Trying to make her own entertainment, she began disrupting classes and acting out. All this got her was detention and not a whole lot else – although her host parents didn't seem to care too much, even despite the multitude of calls home.
One day after school she found herself fascinated by a motorcycle parked outside. Instead of catching the bus and going straight home to a world of homework and boredom, she decided to stick around and draw the bike because hey, she didn't know when it'd show up again! Sadly the owner of said bike showed up and drove away before she could finish and so she quickly followed them into an alley – only to see that the bike was no more, replaced by a giant robot!
This moment of luck and being at the right place at the right time proved to be the start of Miko finding out about the Autobots and the world of Cybertronians, the start of an amazing friendship with her best buddy Bulkhead, as well as the chance to do the adventuring that she'd always wanted, and despite not knowing the Autobots for very long has helped them many times with nothing but enthusiasm. From beating the scrap out of scraplets that were attacking the base, helping them transport a nuclear warhead (best idea ever!), and getting stuck in – and also working out how to escape – the Shadowzone!
Maybe Jasper wasn't so bad after all!
Personality: You'll probably hear Miko long before you see her. She's loud - wanting to be in the midst of all the action, usually with little regard for danger or her own safety, even despite her mellowing out some since her initial arrival at the Omega Base. She sometimes gives no thought to potential consequences of her actions, choosing to act first and think later – because hey, it hasn't done her wrong so far!
Despite this reckless behavior, she cares deeply about her friends and the Autobots that reside at the Omega Base – and she's fiercely loyal and brave, standing up to those much bigger than her if need be. She's hot-headed and quick to act, able to think on her feet and outside the box.
Likes: Bulkhead, Video Games, Winning, Racing, Metal Music, Adventures, Her Friends, Causing Mischief, Cats, Playing Guitar and rocking out, Drawing.
Dislikes: School and all things related to school – homework and detention. Authority, People being mean to her friends, Being Bored, Spiders!
Strengths/Weapons:
Go get 'em!: Miko seemingly has no fear, and is far more willing than most of her other companions to fight back no matter who the enemy. She's impulsive and a firecracker, speaking her mind with ease; projecting an aura of confidence that can hopefully inspire and push those around her to fight with her.
Let's go, team!: Miko is fiercely loyal to her friends and wants nothing more than to see them happy. Her bubbly, loud personality means she's often one of the first to rush in with attempts to cheer people up because nobody is allowed to be sad with Miko around!
Think fast, slowpoke!: Despite her apparent second home in detention, Miko is actually quite clever when she wants to be. She's adept at thinking outside the box and her quick thinking attitude has her coming up with plans on the fly – plans that sound absolutely crazy but actually work!
Bubble shield: Wheeljack took the tiny Wrecker (in training) under his wing, creating a gauntlet with a built-in shield. Purpose built for humans, it's able to be adjusted to different sized arms if needed, simply by sliding a finger along a ridge of touch-sensitive material on the side. Three fingers pressed to this material would activate a bubble around the user; a layer of hard light able to hold up against most simple plasma blasts. Five fingers activated the 'emergency' mode – activating a bubble around the user before pushing out in a larger, protective bubble. This mode costs more energy, causing it to overheat faster – meaning shorter usage time and a longer cool-down before it can be used again. Charging it between uses is simple, using a pretty standard charging pad.
Weaknesses:
Despite it all, I'm only human: Being a tiny human girl in a world of giant robots is certainly a disadvantage – considering how much Miko wants to get herself involved in the action. Being so small runs the risk of getting trampled underfoot, and nobody wants that!
Girl, you got a big mouth: Sometimes it seems like Miko completely lacks a brain to mouth filter, blurting out things without thinking at all – things that could probably put her and her friends into more trouble than needed.
Not now, Miko!: Miko's loud and out there personality isn't for everyone, and she can be quite grating on ones nerves. While she tries to back off before it gets to the point of annoyance, sometimes she can't help herself.
Spiders: EEEEK! GET IT AWAYYYYYY!!!
Special Skills:
Rock out with ya @!*$ out!: Miko is a skilled guitarist and loves rocking out as loud as possible!
Nani datte?: Miko is bilingual, and speaks both Japanese and fluent English.
Lemme take a selfie!: Miko considers herself an expert photographer, using her cell phone to take waaaay too many photos of the Autobots. This simple pink flip-phone can sync easily with Autobot communications and equipment – and has proven to be a valuable asset more than once. She is never without her phone, and it is always somewhere on her person.
