The Prime looked upon Skirmisher carefully, trying to figure out what must be going on in the other mech's processor now that silence had taken a strong hold between them. The conversation had skidded to a complete halt, and while to some it may be considered unnerving, it was actually appreciated. It gave Optimus a moment to get his bearings and take a metaphorical breath, thinking back to what had been spoken upon.
Through the entire discussion thus far, the subject matter had jumped and thrashed, changing gears multiple times. He was uncertain if he was mistaken in this fact or not, but he was fairly confident that Skirmisher's initial concerns were not met and dealt with. The fact of the truce had been approached, and was possibly cleared up enough, but not what sort of jobs he would feel comfortable and enjoy doing to assist the team.
"I believe the core of what started this discussion has yet to be addressed."
Breaking the silence, Optimus tried to take on a far more conversational approach, trying to flow back into a discussion that had been decimated moments prior.
"While insight behind the Truce was approached, we have yet to find a role that would make you comfortable in this outpost, and give you purpose to focus your talents upon."
Setting up the foundation, Optimus tried for a third time to get Skirmisher to answer his question. He hoped that now he could get a far more direct answer in any form whatsoever. Even if it was an 'I do not know' it would be something that he could work off of, where he could list out suggestions once again, and try to guide Skirmisher in a helpful direction. Optimus could simply appoint Skirmisher a task, but he felt that if someone truly enjoyed what they were doing, than it would be done with far more care and with an added level of skill that otherwise would be lost.
"What sort of job do you want to do here?"
