CHARACTER INFO
Name: Covershot
Age: Emotionally, 20.
Gender: Femme.
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Autobot
Original Occupation: Low-ranking engineer.
Occupation/Specialization: Scout
Appearance: A few inches shorter than Arcee, Covershot has a lithe silver body with large, black, rectangular plating on the outfacing sides of her knees, and her shoulder pads are black, rectangular, and with two silver half cylinders with a black bar on each one connecting the top of the half cylinder to the side. Small Squared parts of her shoulder pads cover the front and back sides as well. Plating aside, her Limbs are slender and silver, black skirt-like plating surrounds her waist level going halfway down towards her knees, loose as to not interfere with her agility. She has a black chestpiece dividing her silver neck from her waist. Her feet are covered with a black, shock-absorbing plating. Her back has the hooks that would normally be at the altmode as well as the top claws of the base to form a minor storage carrier, while the remaining claws are attached to either side of her thighs. Her helmet is smooth and black, with a downfacing grey triangle from the front side on her upper forehead.
Altmode: A black and silver colored cannon. The base of the cannon is a rectangular, black, with a silver cubic pyramid on top, while five compressible beams connected to the barrel. At each corner of the base, is a long, dark, black, claw made of joints. Each long enough to keep Covershot mounted on a variety of surfaces. The cannon itself has a long silver barrel covered in a black rectangular casing. Along the long sides is arc exposing the barrel starting from the barrel at the middle reaching the bottom at the back. The backside of the cannon has two long, black hooks connecting to each side at the top. Due to time the edges are blunt and on micro-inspection rust can be found. At the top and bottom of the barrel are the lines where the sides of the barrels join, while from the casing, a bar at the middle of the left and right side connect to the tip of the barrel.
This Altmode has two functions, what it lacks in mobility and general functionality as a disguise, it brings adjustable power. Covershot can compress the beams connecting the cannon to the base and can act as an arm mounted cannon, or adjusted properly to be a shoulder cannon to a variety of cybertronians.
History: From creation, Covershot was a curious being. During the golden age, Covershot worked as an engineer, and was happy with her job. Fixing and building the various machines during the earlier days of her existence were the most fulfilling. Working cycle, by cycle, in Iacon. Content in disbelief of being affected by the world, the war was by no means foreseen nor believable by someone in her position. During the early days of the war, she worked to repair space-crafts, energon conduits, and much to her dismay, damaged weapons, tools of destruction. Losing the will to continue engineering, or stay on Cybertron, She was assigned due to number reasons; engineers far outweighed scouts, making her reassignment a seamless transition.
Working as a scout for what seemed like an eternity, the glimmer of youth died slowly by tragedy, assignment after assignment. Her planet soon became unrecognizable by every tactical report, area survey, remains of soldiers, and threat of deceptions. When the battle reached galactic levels, she received an assignment she believed to be a blessing in disguise, analyze a planet with high energon ratings for suitability to host an Autobot outpost and potential energon mine. During her trip to the planet, her shuttle came under attack by Decepticons, sustaining heavy damage, sending Covershot onto a collision course with the planet.
The planet she crashed on, dubbed by the Autobots B21-A, was in fact inhabited with sentient life. This world happened to be of two major continents at war with each other, a war that occurred for decades prior to Covershots arrival. This species, calling themselves the Adraxis-Priora, and the Adraxis-Neora depending on continental origin. The species has been at war for governing supremacy after peaceful talks sparked radical activists to spark a war. The Adraxis people have developed technology powered by energon, creating devastating war machines of a simple tank in comparison to other races relying on more primitive forms of energy. Covershot crash landed at a site, sustaining heavy damage, Losing armaments along her legs, cracked or missing plating, leaking energon, an arm appeared as though it was grinded for days by scraplets. However slowly, she was barely moving as she crawled out of the wreckage, until she found a energon powered vehicle. She tried to acquire the whole thing as an Altmode to power down into stasis, but it was too large, and she looked to her horror to see parts of her already small body missing. Looking around, she saw a broken cannon, scanning it, her T-cog analyzed the technological structure and purpose, it was a cannon designed to function as a stationary, and mobile for vehicle purposes. As her form altered via technological metamorphosis of the T-cog, she climbed atop the armored tank and transformed into her newfound Altmode and entered stasis mode.
Laying dormant for thousands of years, the war of the Adrexis ended in only ten years. The tank she found herself on, was labeled the broken warrior as the tank itself was not firing due to Covershot’s stasis and incompatibility due to the fact that she was still a Cybertronian. The reason she was not replaced was due to a shortage of transportation as she was aboard a Neoran vehicle in Prioran territory. However, the driver of her vehicle, B’Qual, was bold enough to participate in a grand coup d’etat to end the war. B’Qual was a lieutenant working on transportation of resources via his vehicle, anything from new weapons to injured bodies. After the other insurgents from each side kidnapped their leaders, they were taken to his vehicle which he took to a battle field to run between both sides of the war on the luck of trying to end the war with a gamble. He held captive both leaders of the Adraxis nations in a hostage situation, which led to the insurgent’s execution on order of both sides, sparking peace debates after realization of how inhumane the world has become when the first mutual decision was to end lives. The broken warrior became a museum exhibition for centuries, powered up and refueled for display daily, put on show for how ancient technology worked, weapon engineers ogling her every time they saw her, wondering if they had the know-how to “fix” her.
Everytime someone looked inside the Broken Warrior, and pressed the fire button, the surge of energon always rushed through the Adraxian circuits to her, slowly restoring her energon. Until one day, Covershot finally received enough energon to emerge from stasis one day, during display, she transformed and emerged from a deep slumber a wreck. Due to her alterations to suit her new Altmode by her T-cog, she discovered what was left of her plating became the outer shell for the cannon, her limbs felt lighter, but she accounted that to the fact that her new plating mostly protects her shoulders and thighs. Confused as to her situation, she silently cursed the deception she fought before landing. She soon found herself arrested by the Adraxian government and interrogated. She pieced together that time had passed, she spent time as a museum piece, and that the Adraxian people know of Cybertonians and the war. The Adraxians halted their expedition of space travel on the account of the conflict of Autobots and Decepticons, and barred all alien encounters. After explaining her original mission and its unfortunate complications, she expressed her desire to leave the planet, only to learn her ship was destroyed. After delegations with the government of the world, they permitted her to construct a space-bearing vessel strong enough to send her away from the world, but would required on their request to be destroyed as soon as it takes her away. The Adraxians want no place in the galactic setting, they requested not a trace lead back to their world. Plotting a course for Cybertron, she was yet again led astray but this time by Autobot signatures, that sent her on a course for Earth.
Personality: After the war started, Covershot was a dedicated and focused scout, intent on getting any job done. She retained some of her dry humor, but in the face of Decepticons, she keeps a focused demeanor. She does not tolerate any foolish behaviour when it comes to battle or crucial tasks, but is generally one to join in on other occasions. Due to her new altmode she has deep insecurity about being a liability if not used as a tool instead of a bot or vise versa. Compared to other altmodes she feels like she can’t keep up the same workload as she can only work in the shadows.

Strengths/Weapons:
Stingers: In place of blasters, her hands retract and reveal needles charged by energon that can create small bursts that are harmless in small quantities. Physical contact for twenty seconds charged up could fry the servos of a light armored bot, provided Covershot can get close enough for that time.
Maneuverability: With a lack of armor, Covershot is flexible and combined with athletics, able to move through tight corridors easier than a massive bot.
Cannon: The altmode cannon serves as a or small rapid energy based weapon that can mount onto her allies as well as be a stationary weapon. She can fire rapid medium armor piercing shots, however If she takes fifteen seconds, to charge up, she can build up one heavy armor piercing shot. After five heavy shots, she needs a minute to recover.
Weaknesses:
Lack of plating: Due to a shortage of armor after taking on a new form after losing parts of herself, Covershot is not that resilient to damage outside her alt mode. In her Altmode, she can withstand medium-weight firepower but in alt mode, and shot from a medium weight outside her heavier plating and she’s down.
Recoil and charge time: Due to charge and recoil, there is only so much Covershot can fire from her cannon. After about 8 medium piercing rounds, she needs a few moments to recover. After a few heavy piercing shots, she could take up to five minutes to recover.
Self-worth issues: Due to having a weapon instead of a vehicle, she questions her worth and usefulness as an Autobot on Earth.
Special Skills:
Engineering: Covershot worked as an engineer before the war, she can’t build a space bridge on her own, but she can build basic weaponry and destroy a ship from within if she has to.
Ship building: Covershot can’t architect a cruiser, but she can make a decent shuttlecraft.
Mediocre pilot: Covershot can pilot decently through open space, but through an asteroid field she is next to useless.
Basic field medical: Working as a field engineer for a short time, Covershot had to assist doctors as they treated patients on occasion.
Hand to hand skills: Due to a lack of firepower and armor outside Altmode, Covershot makes up for it with sheer physical combat skills and uncanny flexibility.
Extra Info:
Adraxian technology: Her altmode, the Adraxian pulse cannon needs some explaining as to how she took the form of the part. Adraxian technology is compartmentalized. The weapons themselves are meant to be able to equip onto any vehicle, or move to be a stationary. This design was so that instead of repairs, in the midst of a field, Adraxians can just swap parts of a vehicle or leave parts behind to act as coverage. Sadly this did not work in practice as well as it did in theory as the time to switch left soldiers vulnerable to enemy attacks. As for how both sides developed similar technology, morphic fields and evolution.
Sample RP: Twenty-nine cycles since emerging from stasis-lock, and they each felt like an eternity. Covershot stared into a monitor on the side of view, reading the ships sensor vitals. Her metallic eyes exhausted by the Andraxis courts after explaining her case. Her hands clutching the controls, legs bent too tightly in the small craft. She was not in an easy position as the Andraxians prohibited space travel, alien contact, and had a media backlash at learning part of their cherished history was an alien. It took a great deal of delegation for her to be given permission to build a spacecraft. It was not exactly fancy, small, seed shaped, grey metal, with four wings on either side, no weapons, and an arced window on the front facing side. The black was a propulsion engine that Covershot found too inefficient, for it was unable to reach Cybertron within a week unlike the ship she arrived in. Her hands clutched each of the control rods on either side tighter, bending them slightly. She never wanted war of her own race, but to know she had a part in resolving another, even if she was just a glorified hood ornament, seemed oddly disturbing to her. She was glad to play a role, and to not be melted to scrap, but she felt like if she couldn’t help Cybertron’s war, but can stroll into another and see it’s end, what hope was there for Cybertronian wars.
Looking out, she was cautious as to check for incoming vessels. Checking the radar every five nano-cycles. “Damn ‘cons, didn’t wanna fight this war to begin with. Now I lost a couple hundred Kilos, a ship, and most of my life.”
Looking deep into the depths of space, she couldn’t help but be frustrated as she tried to navigate via star charts after a few thousand years was almost impossible. Stars, Biological life, all have an end. When stars collapse, it takes one waypoint away, take many, and it gets harder to navigate. Checking her monitor again she found something peculiar, she rigged her sensor from what was left of the sensory array from the ship she arrived in, as not else of worth was remaining. Picking up Autobot signatures on a nearby planet, she altered her course, relieved at finding a direct destination, she set course for a planet called earth.
She knew what she was doing, this was a one-way mission. This shuttle will keep together so she can walk way from it after she lands, but it would never fly again. She knew the Adraxians didn’t want her around, nor waste resource on an outsider, supplying only the basic needs. She didn’t care, she couldn’t care, all that mattered was finding her place in the world. Decepticons lust, greed, and crazy leader won’t let any peace exist. “A little longer, just gotta keep going, this war cannot go on forever.”
With the blue planet in site, she adjusted her course for a section of a western continent, around some Autobot signatures, at full throttle. “I hope I’m not too late…”
