"No, they were not. As you know, telling someone a story is not the same as living it."
The cat paused at the edge of a deep, dry wash. A slither of sand and gravel whispered out from under his dark paws and poured over the edge, dancing down between the jutting rocks as if it was a granular waterfall. His tail swished back and forth as he seemed to be contemplating leaping across it.
Ravage's sleek black head lowered to the dirt and sniffed lightly before he pounced off the edge and onto a series of small ledges.
"This way," he murmured as he leapt his way to the sandy bottom. Once there, he paused and waited for the mech to join him in the crevasse.
Wide enough for easily Megatron and Shockwave themselves to walk side by side, the wash was shaded by the stones. Neither mech would stand out as much against the dry desert.
Ravage blinked. The feline's squint-eyed gaze opened wider among the comfort of the shadows, returning to his usual sharp angles of red.
"Possibly nothing from that will surface," he continued, his voice rumbling softly from the depths of his chest. "I think that it will be likely at some point for us to bridge in and get some supplies off the ship once it settles and we can pinpoint some safe location.
"Agreed that I do not think it will be unnoticed for long. The Autobots have to know by now that something is amiss, and the humans as well. It is absolutely likely that some of these things, even small ones, will get into the wrong hands. I will mention to Commander Starscream that we need to allocate Vehicon patrols to this task as soon as we are able."
