Lacing his digits with each other, Blackframe sat comfortable at his makeshift desk, watching, observing and smiling as if it was his graduation day. The sheer joy and the relief that swept over his frame as Breakdown spoke was only one sign of many; just underneath the table his pede started to tap repeatedly on the floor, enthusiastic, nervous and with an energy he'd had not felt for a long time. It took him a bit of self-restrain to keep his bottom planted on the crate, trying to suppress this need to throw himself at the blue mech. Not in an aggressive way or to attack him, no, but to throw his arms around the big brawler and embrace him in a tight hug... which... was already a very weird thought, all things considered.
However, Breakdown's sudden agreement in this arrangement meant a lot to Blackframe. He was utterly glad to receive the big guy's assistance and help. Teamwork! Victory!
Knowing that there was some sort of support to assist in an emergency, some place one could return to if something went to the pits as well as knowing one would not have to fight alone... was great. And it mirrored itself in the officers enthusiasm as he then shot up in an upright position to stand in front of the table.
“Yes! Wow! I mean, yes, please, of course!”
“That's awesome, really! I was already loosing hope there for a minute... Um, yeah, are- are there any questions you would like to ask? I mean, hey, whatever, I'm glad to have you onboard- is probably the wrong phrase but yes.”
A servo reached up, rubbing the back of his neck in an awkward way.
“Oh, eh, and don't worry, I'll make it up to you, promise. If you have anything that I could do for you in return, welp, just say it and I'll do it. I mean really, clean up some things, do a lazy mail run? Maybe assist you on a recon mission? How about, taking out the trash... or take myself out, so you would never have to talk to me again? Whatever it is, I'll try to help.”
Blackframe did know know how to actually 'thank' Breakdown for this unexpected twist, but he hoped that there was at least something he could offer to make things up for him in the foreseeable future.
The two data-pads were carefully shoved towards the blue mech then; a simple gesture to try and indicate that Breakdown was free to choose if he wanted them or not. He could easily claim them, and deny that offer still, yet Blackframe hoped that with this, they could actually work together to get a better understanding of this organic threat called MECH.
“So yeah, any requests? Any questions?”
