Waiting patiently to receive an answer, Blackframe tightened his grip around the items, holding them close to his chassis. He already knew how the other would respond and had mentally prepared for any witty remark, insults or harsh comments with the brutal demand to get 'the frag out and lost and even rust for all what he cared'.
But it never came! Instead, Knock Out just wanted HIM, of all the malfunctioning 'Cons around to be careful? That... was something new.
It threw the black and white mech completely off, reeling back some as if being hit by a bullet. A step backwards was made in order to try and gain some distance. Blackframe didn't know how he should respond to that- so keeping quiet and pulling his field in was probably the best course of action, he figured. His gaze was still locked onto Knock Out, squinting some in disbelieve.
Finding and making friends wasn't easy! Especially in times of war, and even more so when one was a Decepticon it seemed. Most of their crew, stationed on earth or elsewhere, were savages brutes; selfish, aggressive, greedy, power-hungry... they wouldn't bat an optic towards such meager relationships- and if they did? It mostly served as a mean to garner an advantage for what ever reason.
The world they lived in was cruel; kill, or be killed. Hunt, or be hunted. Use, or be used.
And Blackframe sure knew that he would rather be the first, than the latter. Too many past experiences proofed that there was no such thing as true loyalty, trust, or whatever it was that existed in those dire times. Everyone had to fight for their own.
However, it still was a surprise, but not a totally unwelcoming one as Blackframe then just nodded in return.
He may not be trusting anyone as his faith in their kind had been long lost, but it seemed that at least Knock Out wasn't one of those 'too selfish' one's, well, perhaps he was a different kind of selfish but that was a debate for another time.
“No, I- can do that myself.”
He quickly said as the question had been brought up.
There was no way he would bother Soundwave with such a thing! He could acquire it in a different way, even if that would imply to shorten his own rations for a while to get a good amount stock piled in advance.
“But- thanks... for, the help.”
Despite their awkward encounter and despite their misunderstanding, Blackframe was glad to at least have received what he'd came for. However, he would make a mental note to not bother Knock Out again unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.
Now, with the items required the two colored mech turned on his heel and would start to walk towards the exit in a rather hurried pace, making his leave to allow Knock Out the quiet and peace he may desire.
