"Jazz-man, we're closin' in. Jazz? Jazz, Ay, you dere?"
Whirl shrugged mentally at the lack of response. He continued to fly over Bumblebee.
"Interestin'," Whirl commented, "Looks ta me like we're on our own. Story of my life."
Turned out the signal was coming from a large dump. Wayhey. Not the easiest place to scout from the air. Whirl transformed, landed, and his weight and build almost instantly resulted in him sinking in up to his ankles. Somebody lighter and better balanced, like Bumblebee, wouldn't have such a problem.
"What is it with humans and just throwin' dere waste out anywhere? Heh, reminds me of a city on Junkion," he snickered, "Like, seven tier city or somethin'. Literal high-livin' - everybody threw out dere waste onto da tier below. 'Cept for da bottom tier, what ate it. Awesome place. Awesome."
Whirl told lots of stories, but unlike Kup, you could never tell if his were true.
Considering Kup had gone everywhere, met everybody, and previously been in the Wreckers, Whirl's loud, obnoxious voice was easily recognisable. Hard to know if him being here was a good thing, and it depended on who he was talking to - which was fortunately Bumblebee.
"Come on, new guy," Whirl spotted a long, long, LONG line of derelict vehicles while wading now knee-deep in trash. Hiding in plain sight. Nice one, "We only get one chance at a first impression, Ay? Don't make me make a bad one?"
"Hey, hey! Bee!" he shouted at Bumblebee who was somewhere behind him, "Watch me do an impression of Prowl!" He grabbed one of the rusting shells of cars by the bumper, and flipped it over easily, partly to check if there was anything underneath, "Good one, Ay?" He grabbed the next in line, "RARGH! I'm Prowl! I'm always angry but everybody likes me because I only take out my rage on tables!"
He flipped it over again, and moved on down the line, continuing to flip the cars. Most of them were little more than shell,s making them easy to lift. Sometimes the simplest solution really was the easiest one.
