“A sweater? Good thinking!”
It hadn’t even really clicked that the vents were used for the air conditioning system and therefore would probably be freezing cold, even without the air blowing through them! She’d just been so excited that this was actually happening! She was being allowed to crawl into the vents and help for once!
Okay, the helping part was just a little part of it all, it was mostly excitement over the adventure itself. What if there were hidden areas of the base that she could only get to via the vents? Or hidden treasures stashed away by the military who used this base before the Autobots?
She was on her best behavior now - at least in view of Optimus and Laura, and would swiftly make her way up the ladder, choosing the safety of the catwalks rather than running through the corridors to make her way back.
Once she’d clambered up she’d lean over the side a little, holding the railing with one hand and giving a super enthusiastic salute down to the pair at their words.
“No rummaging in Fowler’s office, no opening crates! Got it!”
And with that, she would turn and run. No need to be cautious about getting underfoot up here, even if the catwalks were a little rickety they were solid - turning the corner and disappearing out of view before any protests about ‘no running in the base’ could be adhered to.
When Optimus had said don’t rummage through Fowler’s office, she’d assumed he’d meant not to go through his desk drawers - did that mean things on his desk though? He seemed the type to have super awesome snacks hidden away, maybe she could see if he had any laying around, for energy purposes! Nothing like beating the absolute crap out of a Scraplet while riding a sugar high!
Of course, that would mean Fowler’s office would have to be unlocked and she’d never actually been in there before… and knowing her luck, she wouldn’t even have time to try before Laura caught up to her.
Eh, she’d try it first anyway. Making her way to the area of the Omega base that was used for NEST purposes, she would make an immediate beeline for Fowler’s room.
Moment. Of. Truth.
Hand on the door handle, she’d turn it quickly- only to find thaaaaaaat. Yup. Locked. Damnit, Fowler!
Ah well. Maybe… maybe there was a way in here through the vent system later. Ohohoo…
For now though, back on track - she would make her way to the other offices. Even though these ones were usually open, she hadn’t actually snooped around in here before - everything that could be considered fun was under lock and key, so there wasn’t really any point in trying.
Shifting her hands to her hips, she would look around, huffing a strand of hair from her face - not knowing which belongings were Laura’s, she would stand and wait for her to catch up and point in the right direction.
