“Odd?”
He asked curiously, tilting his helm slightly to one side in confusion.
“No, it's just... a personal preference, I guess. But, as you said, it doesn't matter, so why bother?”
A shrug of his own was given at that.
If Finale wasn't offering any deep personal information about herself, Blackframe didn't feel the need to contribute any more of his own. He probably had made himself look like a total freak in front of her anyway. It was best to keep SOME stuff to himself and focus on more important things.
But what?
“Harsh world, or not- you know, sometimes, you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been, to stand back up taller than you ever were.”
He truly did not know how to respond to her statement correctly. Yet, it was perhaps the only advice he could give her at this moment.
Starting to fidgeting around some more, his leg continued to shift nervously on the ground while his servos were folded in his lap in an attempt to calm himself down. Finale's question sure caught him off guard. Why was it that she always had to counter attack with another question of hers? Why couldn't she just SAY what she wanted, felt, or thought?
A part of Blackframe wanted to slap her in the back of her helm, demanding a proper answer to his question- the other half was starting to freak out though, trying to find appropriate words to formulate a coherent sentence.
“Well, I don't know? Maybe because most others have more important things to do- other than sitting here, talking about 'odd' things and pondering about life?”
“I mean, I never had such a prolonged- conversation with someone other than myself, or a corpse I guess. But hey, first time for everything right?”
As soon as those words left his vocalizer, the black and white mech died inwardly.
“No wait! What I mean, is- You're not a corpse of course, I was not referring to you! I was just- wanting to ask, what I was about to say was... err, what are you up to from now on? Just watching the stars, and waiting for someone to summon you? Or... you know, for someone who interrupted my training session, you awfully keep a lot to yourself. Still no advice, no?”
To say he felt awkward was an understatement, but he sure had not forgotten why he'd came all the way up- and out here on his own. A fresh breeze was all he wanted to clear his mind while getting some routine back in his life after the Nemesis crash. And now here he was, having an even more awkward conversation about things most others would consider a taboo topic with someone he barely knew. But it positively surprised him that she had the patience to actually LISTEN, without throwing insults left and right.
