There was a slight slither of panic rushing through the smaller mech's field as a clicking sound appeared.
It was instinct, one could almost call it. Blackframe went rigid for a moment there, already preparing for a strike that -thankfully- did not come. He did not flinch, nor made any sudden movements and simple stood there for a few seconds as if 'holding his breath', watching curiously of what was happening.
The fluid movements, the disengaging of locks and the sudden humming that followed were all so elegant and synchronized that the black and white mech could only watch in awe as the small bird-like drone deployed from Soundwave's chassis. Red glowing optics followed the cassette as it nestled onto the terminal's edge, staring right back at the triangular head.
It would be a lie to say that Blackframe did not know how Laserbeak looked like, however, it was evident that he had not seen this creature up close. There was a bit of curiosity, paired with a tiny hint of confusion as he inspected it further. Blackframe knew the general shape of the cassette, mostly from old video footage and rumors, now seeing this thing up close gave him a better understanding of how Laserbeak actually looked like. But most importantly, it gave him a rough concept of what the small cassette was capable off; hovering, flying , maneuvering in tight areas and even gripping and perching onto smaller objects... all valuable traits which could be useful during their expedition down in the deep.
His own helm angled back to Soundwave once those thoughts were processed, catching the subtle nod from the spindly mech himself. The approval was given, the 'contract' signed and with that, Blackframe relaxed once again before turning his attention back to the terminal while keeping Laserbeak in the corner of his optic.
“I recommend to start down in the main area, the control room, or at least as close as the conditions down there would allow.”
He began, reaching out to lead a servo over to the image displayed on the screen, pointing at one of the red circles where the control room was being marked.
“If I am not mistaken, the main terminals have access to any other terminal and console located on the ship. It would allow us to pull any data from each and every room separately from there. If this, however, should proof itself to be difficult, we will manually gather the missing pieces...”
His servo would now move slowly in a straight line from the located control room to the next marked area where the medical bay would lay, tipping momentarily onto the screen before continuing to strife to the next as he said this.
“...Medical bay, science wing, engine room. Approximate time; two to three earthen days if my calculation is correct.”
“Once we reach our last destination; a second team - of your choice - should engage us down there to exchange the collected valuables and return them safely to Blackridge. If everything goes well, which I carefully calculated that it should be, we would move on to phase two; the resurrection of the ship itself. In this scenario, we require some of your personal... 'magic'. I'll explain shortly, but, any questions so far? Or concerns?”
