“One of the first? Mm, not everything you hoped for then? Given the whole…”
A vague gesture was given to the scratched out emblems. Knock Out had waited a while before picking a ‘side’ in the war, although he didn’t have to really give it much thought at the time, nor was there really a lot of pressure behind the decision. It simply came down to him giving his loyalty to the faction that had the best chance at winning, nothing more.
Then again, Bladewing was a Seeker and given what happened to Vos, he probably didn’t have the luxury of actually choosing.
“Anyway, the etching is no problem - it will simply need buffing out, I’d imagine. Made a little harder by the fact you clawed at them but it is what it is.” he offered a weak smile at that.
Knock Out was all for frame customization - but even he wouldn’t commit to etchings and engravings. Especially not a faction symbol, eesh. Even getting the Decepticon badge was a little too much. He was loyal, of course he was - but flaunting your side when on a strange planet such as this? What if Bladewing happened to be aggressive or very anti-Decepticon and shot on sight?
No thank you!
Taking back the datapad, he would tuck it into his subspace with a gentle bob of his helm as he began retrieving a few things from the medical kit, and he could only chuckle about the lack of insignia.
“Oh don’t worry, if the DJD were around I’d slap a Decepticon insignia on myself so fast I’d have whiplash.”
He’d flash a wink, before continuing.
“A standard badge of course, not engraved. Easy removal and all that. Not that I’m not loyal! Just- Well, yeah, you get it.” not that he’d ever change his faction, but etching was a terrifying thought.
Standing up then, he made his way closer to the other mech.
“A Seeker is nothing without his wings. Luck must be on your side, though. Not only is the damage minimal considering what happened, but the first Cybertronian you met happens to be a medic.” another wink given, paired with a smile.
Leaning up onto the tips of his pedes, he would get a closer look at the damage as Bladewing spoke of who Blue was.
“Ah, fair enough. Is he on Earth too? My scanner only picked up one life signal - not that that means anything, he could easily be out of range. As for where I’m from, mm - originally Iacon. Lower areas of the city, though. No fabulous Towerling lifestyle for me, alas - although they made great customers back in the day, so I did have an easier time than most.”
He chuckled at that, shaking his helm.
“Mm, little awkward question but could I possibly ask you to sit down a moment, just while I do these repairs? I am good at my job but- ah, slight height disadvantage here.”
Normally he had patients laying on a Medical Berth, but it’d been a long time since he’d worked on anyone out in the field - and well, he wasn’t exactly the tallest of mechs and he'd take anything he could to make this easier on himself.
