(Week 1, Day 7, Afternoon)
It was a nice, bright, sunny day.
Settled in the back seat of Bumblebee's alt form, Raf leaned back into the plushy cushioning, backpack beside him. The windows were down, letting warm air whip around inside, swirling his brown, unruly hair every which way. The radio was on, and there was some good rock music blasting out. It wasn't anything like what Miko would listen to - nothing that...severe....but it had a good beat, and Raf's feet were bouncing as they made their way back towards Omega.
Raf was having mixed feelings.
On the one hand....Bee was back! He was good again, no longer sick. And while he wasn't really...back to fully normal....it was still so good to be hanging out with him again! Raf had some new comics in his backpack that he had bought just yesterday - he hadn't even read them himself yet. He wanted to wait until they could read them together. Raf had dearly missed Bumblebee, missed his beeps, his actions, the way he always seemed to happy to see him. Missed playing around the base. Even if Bee had only been able to rest up, sit around the base, it still would have been so good to sit with him and watch cartoons and read comics.
But Raf had something else on his mind, and it was starting to chew on him.
Just before Bee had gotten sick, Raf had been on a field trip, and had encountered someone. A woman, named Rachel Decker. And they had talked about fossils and Pre-Clovis people...only...she hadn't really been Rachel Decker.
She had been Dart.
A Decepticon.
Once Raf had conquered his fear, and had been able to actually talk to her, their conversations had turned to MECH, and....Raf had been given a message to give to an Autobot.
Raf knew he was likely going to get in trouble for talking to a Decepticon....but he had to pass the message on. It was so important. And he trusted Bee so much.
He just hoped Bee wouldn't get all stressed over it....and he hoped that Bee wouldn't be angry at him.
Raf turned and looked out the window, at the desert flashing past.
When the mesa of Omega came into view, Raf decided it was now or never.
He cleared his throat, and raised his voice to be heard over the music blasting from the radio, leaning forward a little to speak. He was never sure why he did that....it just always helped to imagine Bee was actually in or near the driver's seat....
"Um...Bee? When we get back to the base, can we go to your room and hang out, instead of up by the TV? I..um....I want to talk to you about something. I need some advice, and I....it's sort of private."
