As Breakdown responded, Bumblebee would focus on his words to try and find more similarities between their two experiences with whatever it was. His own processor thinking back to how he, too, lost his temper over the littlest of things that normally he would’ve brushed aside or even laughed off. Things he’d put down to the Energon shortage and the fact he’d been practically starving. But it wasn’t that at all and Breakdown’s words seemed to confirm that even more - the Decepticons weren’t hurting for Energon, and even though he knew it was because of the virus, there was some relief in knowing that it was something that couldn’t have been stopped simply by eating.
It was weird that the other mech seemed to black out entirely, though. Even when Bee snapped completely and attacked Optimus and the others, he was lucid. Blinded by a rage unlike anything he’d ever felt before, but lucid. One good thing was that Bumblebee wasn’t the largest or strongest of mechs, and the only things that really suffered around the base were the walls where he punched them. He didn’t smash or break any actual equipment - well, aside from one of the monitors in the control room, but that was when he had been too far gone.
Another difference was that- Bumblebee still had the support and backing of the Autobots. They’d understood that it wasn’t his fault, and had forgiven him for what he’d done, even if he at times didn’t feel worthy. It didn’t sound like Breakdown had anything like that, then again it wasn’t really surprising.
--I didn’t really break stuff… I punched a lot of walls, though.-- he hummed at that, using one servo to rub the back of his neck.
--The worst though was when- mm…-- another hesitation, he faltered. He knew that Breakdown probably wouldn’t go blabbing about it to anyone that’d listen, but there was something so weirdly wrong about talking about it at all to a Decepticon. But it was someone who had been through it, and while he’d later learned that there had been others at the Omega Base who’d been infected? It’d been caught in time.
Taking a deep vent inward, he’d look back and across at Breakdown.
--I shot Optimus and damaged one of his optics. I couldn’t stop myself, I just- yeah. Optimus, Ratchet, even tried to shoot Carbine who’s one of my best friends. Right in the Control Room. Where we were supposed to be safe.--
He shook his helm at that, averting his gaze down and to the ground.
--Then I woke up. They had to put me into stasis, only months had passed. Everyone forgave me, though, saying it wasn’t my fault. It took a lot of talking with Optimus for me to realize that they were right.--
He still found himself struggling with guilt, how could he not? But it was getting easier.
