Episode 3 | Week 1 | Day 5
A swirling blue planet...
White and blue curls seemed to weave together with endless stripes, speckled with splotches of brown and green...
Earth was not an ugly planet from afar, many others across the stars being rusted reds and browns, mostly streaks with no real land formations below. Borderline monochromatic, limited charm though still beautiful in its own way. Earth however, looked interesting, watching portions flickering alive when the sun moved beyond its horizon, glinting lines of yellow that marked off where major populations undoubtedly clustered down on the planet below. There was curiosity, a want to place ped upon ground, a want to see below a world's upper atmosphere, yet limitations were limitations, and Kamal would not get such a wish anytime soon.
The Control Room was circular and large, a round platform in its center flanked by navigational controls that's screens were hazed in a thin layer of dust. A broad window sat in front of the exploratory ship, granting a broad view of the planet beyond and the distant sun that was part obscured by its shape. In the centermost point sat a chair, its occupant leaned back within as an abundance of cables and conduits streamed out from his back, collecting into woven bundles before snaking into the ceiling. Multiple panels were hanging loosely around this point, exposing more spliced electrical and data lines.
Kamal's fingertips clicked together some, a light drum as his faceless helm viewed the world, a rectangular green 'optic' panel staring out with momentary silence. It was then the screen in front of him blipped with confirmation, seeming to break him out from his trance like state. With a fast movement, a foot swung down against the ground, making a click as the chair would spin about face to look over at his latest guest, knowing that her time here was now to an end.
"Seems your codes have been approved, Petrichor!"
A chipper tone, happy, his arms folding out with wrists flicking so that his palms faced the ceiling.
"Any minute now the bridge will open, where one of the Autobots will be awaiting your arrival to help you settle, no doubt."
As if on cue, a ripping boom would sound out then across the room, a short distance beyond where the Femme was settled. Kamal's helm would turn in the direction of the vortex as it tore into creation, white and teal flecks of light spiraling at its outermost corners, a seething growl as space was rend open. The finials on the side of his head flicked slightly.
"Well there we go."
Mused softly, before he would peer back at the other Cybertronian.
"It has been a pleasure! Do tell the others hello on my behalf, I sadly won't be able to stick around this time. Signals to chase and all that... I am certain you understand."
Kamal eased down into the chair, the cables creaking as he did so, as one leg gently folded across the other. While he sounded happy she got to her destination safe and sound, there was a touch of a somber tone snaking below. It was always so nice to have company on his ship, to have someone to interact with. However, there would always be a new face to see, someone else to pick up... some friendlier than others, but that was alright. As such, he would gesture to the snarling portal with a nod, as if reassuring it was indeed safe and not as dangerous as it may look to the unfamiliar.
