Javelin smiled as she approached, and came to an easy stop several lengths away from him – close enough to be within easy talking distance, but not intruding on his personal space. Her stance was comfortable; legs slightly apart with good footing, arms crossed loosely in front of her.
She couldn’t help but wonder just how long he’d gone on whatever his last fuel was. As a larger bot – especially as a flier – his fuel consumption was probably fairly high. Although it was certainly possible he had been modified in some manner to squeeze every last drop of energon out.
“Oh, not too difficult,” she spoke lightly, “I don’t find terrestrial places too difficult, unless they’re extremely overgrown. At least you picked a place not too far from the highway, so I appreciate that.”
When he spoke of being not sure what he could trade, she dipped her head lightly, grinning, “An old friend of mine used to say everything’s valuable in some manner. You’d be surprised what might be useful. But first...”
Here Javelin raised a hand to her chest, in the area just right and south of her left shoulder. Lightly pressing against it with the fingertips of her right hand, a panel recessed and slid to the right, leaving an open slot in her upper chest.
She reached into this area, and carefully withdrew a sealed cube of energon. The pale blue liquid sloshed slightly within the clear container. In size, it appeared to have just fit inside the compartment. The cube was the height of her own hand, fingers spread, and the length of two of her hands, likewise.
Carefully moving the energon container to her left hand, she raised her right back to the squared opening below her shoulder, and after seeming to press some sort of button or lever, the panel slid back into place, leaving a seamless, nearly invisible surface.
She held out the cube to Cloudcompass, “Here you are. It’s not what you’re used to consuming, I’d imagine, but it should keep you going for another while, if you’re cautious with it.”
For herself, Javelin knew she could do without for a while yet. Her smaller frame, and the modifications that came with being a front line scout, she could last a while yet on what was still in her tank.
