It did not take long for the approaching snarl of multiple engines to be heard overhead, shortly followed by a familiar whir of transformation as three sets of pedes impacted and settled some amongst the uneven gravel outside.
Whoever it was that Windshield had summoned with nothing more than a push of a button had arrived.
A second passed. Then another.
What little sunlight filtered through the open hangar doors was broken a few moments later by the form of a lone Cybertronian. Tall wings, flared outward and proud - momentarily draping the room in partial shadow as the slim figure would move forwards, heeled pedes clicking on the concrete floor.
Starscream’s face was neutral as he briefly took in the surroundings, expression shifting into one of mild disappointment at how… cozy it was. Posters and twinkling Christmas lights littered the walls, with large lava lamps dotted around one of the tables.
This moment of distaste did not last long as he shifted his gaze to Patch, smirking.
“Don't bother fighting back, either.” purred words, laced with that familiar smugness as he strode further into the hangar, both arms looped casually behind his back. A cornered, scared Autobot usually meant a dangerous Autobot - yet there were no signs of worry or concern from Starscream as he moved.
“There are more of us than there are of you.”
A gradual, purposeful movement followed this statement as he held up one arm and waited a flicker of a moment. A metal beam groaning in quiet protest from above, followed by an all-too-familiar buzzing whir that echoed around the walls. It grew ever closer as the form swiftly cut through the stillness, the small drone-like bird landing gracefully on the silver Seeker’s arm with a click of claws and rattle of wings folding together. Its ‘face’ watched Patch silently.
With a quiet nod and hum of approval, Starscream’s gaze settled on Windshield.
“Glad to see this has finally paid off, Windshield. It seems good things do come to those who wait, after all.”
