Name: Acid Storm
Age (or human equivalent): Late 40's
Gender (or human equivalent): Male/Mech
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Decepticon
Occupation/Specialization: Decepticon Seeker, chemist and part time programmer.
Appearance/Altmode: Acid Storm's Earth guise is that of a Grumman S-2 Tracker, a model of aircraft used for hauling several gallons of water, they are most often us to dump water on forest fires. His alt mode is a dark forest green, looking fairly bland with a mono-tone scheme. Standing upright with back straight, this Seeker comes up to Soundwave's shoulder, however his normal stance is that of hunched shoulders and his head hanging low, making him seem a few feet shorter then he really is. His over all design is similar to other Decepticons who choose plane alt modes, in short Acid Storm is mostly made up of long arms, legs and a thin, though somewhat broad chest. The mech's head is long, similar in build to that of Starscream's, though his chin is no where near as pointed and he lacks the colorful head-crest. He has a long coil mounted neck, it looks somewhat sunken in to his heavy-set shoulders, giving him an almost vulture like posture. He has a very thin mouth on his face-plate which rests just before a pair of dark green eyes that seem to be locked in a disinterested stare. His chest is made out of an odd sort of see through metal, which displays his spark for anyone to see, while this might seem quite stupid at first, the spark is housed in a circular capsule and immersed in a thick green ooze which is Acid Storm's personal blend of acid, making sure that anything that breaks his chassi will be covered in the gunk and slowly eaten alive. The acid is framed by internal light which shine through it, giving it and Acid Storm himself a rather ominous green glow. He can of course turn off these lights if stealth is needed, but he rarely does this. There is a pipe that runes down each of the mech's limbs, geared for making sure that the Seeker makes it out alive, even if he might be missing an arm, his foes tend to have more important things to worry about when Acid Storm loses limbs.
History: Acid Storm was built and trained to be a medical aid, specializing in the things that cripple, but do not outright harm a Cybertronian. He was a good scientist, but often overshadowed by his peers, looked down on and considered as a lesser mech because he didn't devote his time to more interesting forms of research, but even then Acid Storm couldn't bring himself to care about the thoughts of others. He just kept improving his field and toiling away for quite some time, in truth he only heard about the uprising when it was nearly on his doorstep. By that time a small squad of Decepticons burst into his lab and gave him two options, join them or be turned into scrap. Well the choice was rather easy, Acid Storm was a scientist, not a warrior of any degree, he had nether so much as touched a weapon before and he wouldn't even know how to use one if he did have one. So he he joined the Decepticons out of survival, not the best outcome he could have imagined, but it could always be worse. In the following years Acid Storm turned his studies upside down, turning cures into plagues, at first he wasn't too happy about this, but as time went on he realized that he was doing much the same thing as he was before the war and then he managed to find some measure of enjoyment in his work. He even became part of a specialized Decepticon outfit known as 'The Rainmakers' who's sole purpose was to create nightmares of biomechanical destruction that would make the Autobots bend to Decepticon rule. These fellow scientists were some of the few Acid Storm didn't hate, or at least not so much that his processor might over heat, life was fairly good.
But things weren't going too well, as more and more scientists were drafted to be warriors, Acid Storm was one of these and he had a very rough time of it. At first he did little more then fly around like a spaz and flank Autobots with the other fliers, however things changed when he grew tired of being a flying target and began to convert his theories into his own shell. Now outfitted with the right tools to cripple and hamper his former brothers and sisters, Acid Storm could just lock up a bot and leave them to the mercy of the other Decepticons, keeping his hands clean, more or less. The more desperate things got the more the Seeker became familiar to war, to the point that it became just an unpleasant task, no more and no less. From then on he was what he had to be, though he tried to stick to the lab as much as possible, his orders often dragged him out and into the field of combat, where he was either hacking things way above his skill or being used to help support the other Seekers. Little has changed since then, even now when he finds himself on Earth with a new race thrown into the mix, all it is to him is the next chapter of a rather uneventful life.
Personality: Acid Storm is a scientist first and foremost, a Cyebertronian second, and a Decepticon as a distant third. It is a very odd day when this mech finds anything at all to care about, not much short of death threats, or a riddle to solve, will get him up and moving at a decent pace. Acid Storm doesn't much care for anything, which can at times make him seem quite cold, but he does not go out of his way to create more pain, as most Decepticons would. Chances are if you ignore him he will do much the same and simply pretend that you don't even exist. Of course, things change if his orders are to cripple or kill you, as much as Acid Storm dislikes doing such things, he dislikes the idea of being a trophy on Megatron's wall far more. While he is annoyed by and avoids the average Decepticon, his fellow Seekers hold a very special part of the mech's disdain, he sees them all are crazy bots high off their own aft-fumes and live for no other reason then to hog the glory. Not that Acid Storm could care less about that stuff as glory, rank and power do not hold sway over his actions and he is more then happy to let other bots suck such things up for themselves.
Likes:
-A good puzzle to mull over.
-Creating new compounds.
-Testing said compounds out.
-Being of some use to his fellow Decepticons.
-Not having to do what he considers work.
Dislikes:
-Fighting.
-Running away.
-Being lumped in with Starscream and the other Seekers.
-Bots assuming that he is sadistic and self-centered just because he is a scientist.
-Being forced to do something he is not designed to do, such as fighting.
-Having his name shorted to and not restricted to: Acid, Cid, Storm, Stormy, Rusty.
Strengths:
-Perhaps one of his oddest strengths is Acid Storm complete apathy for anything not having to do with his function as a chemist. He does not care about the war, fellow Decepticons, Autobots or even trying to grab more power for himself. He is completely fine with remaining in the background and he tries his best to stay out of the spotlight, which his fellow Seekers seem to enjoy hogging. He has no desire to advance his rank or lead anyone, this keeps him out of most power struggles and has made sure that Acid Storm will most likely live to a ripe old age, something which he seems to be quite proud about. This also means that he doesn't act ruthless or overly aggressive to the Autobots, he will follow orders to the letter and defend himself, beyond that do not expect extra damage to be done on Acid Storm's time. One of his few proactive strengths is that he is a natural puzzle solver, being a quite intelligent bot he likes to see something come along and just plain stump him and the other scientists, it gives him the chance to slowly take it apart in his mind and find whatever the flaw is.
-Being a chemist, Acid Storm has made sure to make his hide immune to his own rust and acid formulas and other sorts to a fair degree. Due to his work with viruses he has created a powerful firewall in his processor that will keep out all but the most formidable cyber bug, giving the mech some peace of mind as he is told to hack into things that Soundwave should be handling. Acid Storm's hands have small pores in them which are connected to his rust and acid formulas, making a simple touch far more threatening. His left hand morphs into a weapon that resembles a basic blaster but glows green, inside the energon powered bults are packed with his rust mix and they explode on contact. Once it hits a target the rust will spread out half a foot in each direction and whatever the rust touches it makes brittle, prone to breaking and malfunction. While not deadly in the short run, with a few well aimed pellets Acid Storm can jam a bot's weapons or joints, crippling his target in the fight. His left arm can also change ammo to fire globs of acid, it is a very powerful blend but against Cybertronian bodies it can only do so much, like turn armor plating into puddy, but the compound is unable to fully melt through. It does however make very quick work of internal systems if it reaches them and has a nasty habit of melting optics like no one's business. This is his main weapon. Acid Storm's only real weapon is a small motorized hack-saw that flips out of his left fore-arm, while not all that deadly on it's own, the mech often takes the blade to the joints of his foe, which he has most likely rusted beforehand. The hack-saw can also be fused to either arm of the Seeker, when this happens it converts into a small energon powered beam weapon, it is a little below average in strength but happens to be the only tool Acid Storm owns that can kill outright. Acid Storm's last and most complicated mod is one he has worked around his very spark, flooding parts of his body and limbs with his acid. This makes sure that if he is wounded to the point his spark is in danger or a limb is snapped off, that the sudden rush of acid will be enough of a distraction to let the Seeker crawl away. Popping out of the sides of his legs are small round bombs that can be loaded with either acid or rust, good to sending his mixes over a wide area. If there are enough clouds Acid Storm can toss a laden bomb up into them and seed the clouds with acid, causing it to rain down for a limited amount of time, which is how he got his name.
Weaknesses:
-The mech's apathy is a double edged sword at times, even more so when his commanders expect him to give his all for the cause and take his own life if it comes to that. Acid Storm is not that kind of bot and while he might not disobey orders, he can always find a way to survive and then apologize at a later date, which he has found is a lot safer then just dying on the spot. This also gives him a reputation for being lazy and undependable, which can also come back to bite him if he needs to ask something of one of the other Decepticons. The truth of the matter is that Acid Storm is cunning enough to be in some sort of leading role, but he has no desire for such and refuses to do any more then the bottom line. As much as he loves puzzles, if one stumps him for long enough the mech will obsess over it to unhealthy degrees, even forgoing his rations of energon so that he might continue working on the problem. This state will only vanish once he has the answer or another bot finds it, only then will his odd fixation end and let the bot go about his normal job.
-Like many fliers, Acid Storm will not hold up to a lot of direct damage, he relies heavily on the fact that his acid fused chassi will keep too many from trying to damage him greatly. It doesn't take a whole lot to remove a limb, a missile or two will do just fine. It seems the heaviest concentration of armor on him is around his spark, which will take just a little more work to get at, though compared to your average warrior, the rest of his body isn't too hard to rip to shred.
Special skills: Acid Storm is a master chemist, it is his favorite field of research and very few rival him when he is in his element. He enjoys working with chemicals very much, one of the few things that will motivate him, which says quite a bit. Mostly he creates his own brands of weaponized acids and rust, neither can kill a transformer on their own, but they can easily cripple a foe if they do not take Acid Storm seriously. Before the war he used to specialize in antidotes, counter viruses and ways to neutralize acids before they could do too much damage, but when he became a Decepticon the focus of his work went from cure, to kill. He is also a moderately talented hacker and programmer, not skilled enough to tangle with Soundwave or Blaster in cyber-space, but he knows a trick of two and can get by with a little light work. What he really uses this knowledge for is writing viruses, some very complex ones at that which can play complete havoc with computer and Cybertronian mind alike

Sitting at a glowing monitor was the scientist Acid Storm, tucked away in the Decepticon base as he tinkered with one of his latest projects. He muttered and grumbled to himself as the mech fawned over his work, going over every little detail, double check his calculations and even triple checking them. The reason for his caution was clear when one knew what the mech was working on, a very infectious virus that was compact enough that a single nano-bat could carry the entire program. The virus was designed to completely shut down the couplers which transferred power from a transformer's spark into the rest of the body, forcing them into stasis mode. Fused in the nano-bot who was programmed to climb into any Cybertronian it could reach before uploading the virus into the core of it's host. This combination could very well win the war for the Decepticon, or at least it would if Acid Storm could finish this 'friend or foe' program which would get the nano-bots to only target Autobots, but as of yet the little machines had been very difficult to work with. With a sigh the mech flipped a switched and decided to take a small break before this constant grind got to him, he didn't want to get sucked into the little machines quite yet, as tempting as their riddle was. As Acid Storm leaned back in his chair he clicked another button which brought up a small glass case that housed the little robots, the very same that were now carriers of the virus he had created.
"I will break you...just give me time." He muttered to himself as his optics glared at the tiny machines, while he knew they couldn't hear him or even understand him if they could, it made the Seeker feel empowered.
Just as he began to relax, Acid Storm heard a loud voice calling his name, the mech flinched in annoyance as he felt his audios ringing. The owner of this most grating bellow happened to be none other then a fellow Seeker, one named Skywarp. The other flier wasted no time in finding his teammate in the lab, a some-what goofy grin was worn on the jet's face-lat as he sauntered over to the scientist.
"Hey Cid! Ol' Screamer says that you can't sit in here, got to do some real work for a change!"
Acid Storm made no move other then to raise a single eye-ridge in a questioning manner, clearly he was not amused by this in the slightest and didn't have any desire to leave. Skywarp wasn't too happy about this reaction, seeing it as blatant disrespect of his awesome strength and power. So in retort the Seeker eyed the little glass thing beside Acid Storm and then punched it, smiling as he did so, just so he could see the shocked look on the other Decepticon's face. Acid Storm was indeed shocked as a harsh glare came to his optics, which settled firmly on the jet.
"That case had nano-pots in it you moron! They are carrying a very powerful virus and by now they have infected us!"
Skywarp blinked at that before glancing around "Um...should I...uh, get us out of here?"
At that Acid Storm just shook his head and leaned back in the chair, still looking rather angry that he was about to be off-lined by his on virus, one which not even his firewall could stop. On seeing this Skywarp assumed that there was no problem, if there was the other Seeker would have been panicking, or at least that was what he thought as he pulled up a chair beside Acid Storm and waited for the little nan-the ts who were already working their way through the robots.
He could feel his energy slow down, with the last of his spark Acid Wing growled out of his dimwitted teammate "I blame you for this." and with that his optics clicked offline, followed soon by Skywarp who slumped over the armrest of the chair.
