-Character Info-
Name: Bulkhead
Age: Younger-ish, equivalent of late twenties.
Gender: mech/male
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Autobots
Occupation/Specialization: Heavy Commando
Appearance/Altmode: Formerly a construction worker, Bulkhead is massive in all sense of the word - tall, broad, heavy, armored up to his optics, he is the one mech wall with attached wrecking ball. Altmode is an olive green all-terrain modded SUV.
History: Before the war Bulkhead worked in labor construction, specializing in demolition and heavy lifting - by his own admission he's good at breaking things and building them. He joined the military for training opportunities and discovered he was possibly even better at that then at construction - he was eventually placed in a crack commando team of the Cybertronian military named the Wreckers, under the command of a mech named Springer. The Wreckers were the first-in, last-out, demolition and cleanup crew - they pulled the off world missions no one else wanted, the ones that were deemed near suicide, and the ones where the higher ups wanted to be able to disavow any idea of what was going on or who had authorized it. It was during that time that he met Wheeljack, Breakdown, and Knockout, all of whom also served with the Wreckers.
When the civil war broke out it divided the military as much as the rest of the population, mechs choosing sides. Knockout and Breakdown joined the Decepticons, ripping the Wrecker ranks apart in a particularly ugly round of infighting that left bad energon and grudges on both sides when Bulkhead and Wheeljack refused to join them. What remained of the Wreckers was reformed under the command of Ultra Magnus, fighting on the Autobot side of the war, but Bulkhead left the group shortly thereafter to join Optimus Prime's command, eventually following Prime to Earth.
Personality: Bulkhead is the quintessential gentle giant - he looks big and menacing but the illusion is broken the minute he opens his mouth. He is almost hyper aware of his own size and strength, trying to be unfailingly gentle with those weaker and smaller than he is. Loyal to a fault, he idolizes Prime and is very much a follower - by his own admission he's not the smartest and is content to let others make decisions and then go where he's pointed. He loves to feel useful, part of the team and helping, but has a private fear that he's not doing or capable of doing enough, which can lead him to recklessly throwing himself between others and danger as he tends to regard himself as the most expendable.
Likes: off roading, monster trucks, speed metal rock, high grade, Miko, Wheeljack, parties
Dislikes: Breakdown, Knockout, bullies, monitor duty, being bored, being helpless/useless, scraplets
Strengths: Bulkhead is his own weapon - while he sports standard medium cannons, his best fighting is up close in melee with his fists and the wrecking balls that are a holdover from his first job. He is almost literally a walking tank, built to take a lot of punishment head on and not falter.
Weaknesses: Bulkhead isn't the fastest or the smartest and he's certainly not the most agile. He has raw mass and strength on his side, but doesn't have any long range fire power to back it up with. He's impulsive and doesn't really think things through, which can get him in trouble. He has a deathly fear of scraplets.
Special skills: Bulkhead would deny that he has any special skills - he's the immovable object and the blunt force wrecking ball, not a specialist.
Extra Info: Bulkhead is very fond of Miko Nakadai, the highschool girl who's more or less adopted him as 'hers' (the feeling is mutual). He also maintains strong emotional ties - good and bad - to his former Wrecker squadmates; Wheeljack is one of his best buds, while the angry betrayal and loathing he has towards Breakdown and Knockout has been reaffirmed so many times over the war that it's like flashing red in front of an angry bull when the two are in range.
