Ep. 1 -- search for the missing -- closed (Aquila)

Of course Aquila had heard the news. One would have to have offlined or malfunctioning audio processors to not know of Megatron's disappearance, and Starscream's apparent takeover of command. The unorthodox Seeker walked through the halls of the Nemesis, with many Eradicons doing well to stay out of his way. "The frag does that sniveling scrap heap want me for? Searching for a dead bot and covering his dirty work?" he grumbled. Aquila despised the Decepticon Second-in-Command, as did many of his fellow 'Cons. His intense dislike of the Seeker was possibly matched by that of Megatron, or perhaps even Soundwave, although know one knew what went on inside the head of that faceless and silent 'Con.

Although Aquila heavily favored the direct approach when it came to many things, he still retained some semblance of his intellect from his days as an Autobot, and the experience he had from the War. He had a feeling that there was some foul play involved. Megatron was definitely not one to be bested easily, especially not by someone like Starscream. He wondered how many of his allies the Seeker had maneuvered into supporting him now that Megatron was gone.

The doors to the bridge slid open as Aquila stepped through in a relaxed manner, though his typically aggressive and malicious EMF betrayed that appearance. "What do you want, Starscream? Gonna scrap Megatron's body?" Aquila greeted in an extremely callous manner, showing no attempt at respecting the current Decepticon hierarchy. In fact, Starscream's dislike of being disrespected was amusing to him. He came to a stop right in front of him. He stood at nearly the same height as him. But whereas Starscream was thin and gangly, Aquila had a heavier build as a result of his larger alt form and his close-combat specialties.

Even if he couldn't prove it, he knew Starscream was the one who offlined Megatron. He was curious as to how he managed to accomplish this though. There was no way Starscream would two minutes against him. It wasn't as though he actually liked either one. He disliked Starscream for being pretentious, weak, cowardly, and a fiendish manipulator, qualities most would dislike him for regardless. As for Megatron, he had grudging respect towards the apparently deceased Decepticon leader, but beyond that he had no real opinion of him.

Aquila scoffed at Starscream's meager attempts at looking bigger than him. He really did seem overjoyed at the apparent loss of Megatron, only fueling his conviction that Starscream was responsible. And now they were to perform an aerial search for his body. Upon receiving his "orders" from Starscream, Aquila only chuckled and turned his back on him. He was going to play along with Starscream's search, but he wasn't about to make nice with him.

"Right, Starscream," he said, making it more obvious as to just how much he disrespected him as he walked off, not bothering to wait for his signal to leave or begin the search. The Seeker made his way to the top deck of the Nemesis. He leaped up off of the ship, allowing it to continue to move forward without him. Aquila did a single backflip and transformed into his alt with his nose pointed up, and fired the afterburners on full, picking up a huge burst in speed as he took flight.

"A bit late for that, Starscream," said Aquila as he began a sweep of the surrounding area. Given the relative density of the tree cover, it would normally have been difficult to spot the frame of a downed Cybertronian through the dense cover. Even more so considering that there were no glowing lights a la optics or weapons fire to give away location. However, dedicated sensor suites made things much easier, and given Aquila's high visual acuity even at high speeds, spotting something as big as Megatron would be easy.

Despite being glitched, Aquila still had...relatively most of his faculties still with him. He knew Starscream was an S-Rank liar and manipulator. Hell, he'd probably make Aquila do most of the work and laze about hatching other plots in the meantime. The glitched Seeker dove back down below the cloud layer, sweeping the area in search of the "former" Decepticon leader. Aquila would pay back Starscream for scratching his paint earlier. In all actuality, scratched paint was practically nonexistent on his list of annoyances. Theatrical hysterics over "minor" cosmetic damage was Knock Out's forte, not Aquila's. The Seeker often returned with damage that ranged from negligible to staggering, and he always bounced back with his blades thirsting for more Energon. No, this payback was more or less just so he could watch Starscream squirm like the little worm he was. He merely chuckled ominously into the com for Starscream to hear.
