"Oh when I was a young lad,
I sailed the seven seas.
Then one day I saw through the morning light,
she stood there and looked back at me.
On water she was, a beauty without compare,
she had seaweed for hair and a conk-shell for-... The slag?!"
This odd sea shanty was interrupted by something showing up on the singer's scanners, something he didn't quite expect. Here was League, several leagues under the ocean, though not too far from the human city of New York. The transformer was coasting in his submarine alt mode, so as not to draw any eyes. At this depth there was barely any light trickling down from the surface as the Autobot started to home in on a familiar energy reading.
The sub came to a groaning stop in the water, hovering just over a large multicolored reef. While this wonder of nature was quite stunning to behold, it was what the coral was growing around that managed to catch the sub's scanner. Seemingly without rhyme or reason, League had stumbled onto a large spike of energon growing from the planet, which was a tad strange since he was fairly sure that the geologic strata of this world would be ill suited for energon to be created, naturally at least.
Carefully the hulking mech transformed to his robot mode to get a better look at the crystal and perhaps snap off a sample to take back to base. This would be quite the important find if he and the other Autobots were to stay on the planet long term. Well, that wasn't quite true since they could easily guzzle gas or other primitive forms of energy, but that junk wasn't near as good as energon.
