The little grey sniper was simply exploring hir new home. Having had precious little time to poke around and get to know the place.Between Empty rooms, for storage or the Autobots that have not yet joined them here. It was a little disturbing to see such a place so empty. Maybe it was the empty corridors and shadowy rooms but ou was beginning to get nervous. "Maybe I shouldn't have gone exploring all on my own...."
Dipper was in one of the back rooms with a large orange tarp. He was planning to use it for when he was going back to the wreck of the Tangent. He knew he had said to Bulkhead and Raf that he wasn't going to go there on the night of the argument. However, he just needed to go back there.
If there was one thing Dipper was currently, it was still hurt about the whole incident surrounding Bumblebee and himself. And that much made him bitter. Bee was the better stronger mech and those kinds of mechs always got the femme. At least with his team, he was so sure of this fact. He knew he stood at the bottom with them. Unless something needed to be fixed on his ship, he blended in to the walls and as much as he knew about the Tangent (and he knew a hell of a lot!) he knew that there wasn't a single olive green wall on that ship! But Dipper was used to this. This is what he knew and this is what he was familiar with.
But when it came to Bumblebee, he was sure he was the candy yellow mech's friend. Until that night. That night was different. And it was something Dipper was finding hard to forget. Bee was better than him and right now, Dipper was sure that Bee was winning Shadow's spark. After all, that's why she'd be spending all that time with Bee, right?
Dipper folded up the tarp when he heard the shuffle of footsteps followed by a confused sounding voice. He spun around and looked toward the door.
Maybe if the corridors hadn't seemed so empty and the lights so dim Bluestreak might not have been so fidgety and then might not have jumped quite so high when the soft voice coming from the door beside hir. "H-Hello? Who's there...I'm sorry that's a silly question. You're defiantly not Optimus, Ratchet or Ironhide. You don't sound like Bulkhead, Shadow or Arcee and you TALKED so you cant be Bee. You've got to be Dipper right? Oh please be Dipper or otherwise I'm going crazy again."
Well [crazier/i] again at the very least. Ou knew ou was kind of rambling but it was really hard to stop when ou got nervous.
The voice he heard sounded sort of like a femme's voice in one way. In another way, it didn't. Carefully, he walked towards the door with his folded tarp in hand. With as much courage as he could muster at the moment, he peeked around the corner. When he saw two bright blue optics staring right back at him, Dipper stumbled backwards in to the door jam with a surprised yelp. It WAS a femme! Or at least someone he believed to be a femme. Bluestreak certainly gave off those vibes to Dipper despite all appearances.
Almost automatically, Dipper avoided any instance of eye contact by looking at his feet.
"I-I-I'm sorry. I d-d-don't mean to b-b-be rude o-or anything," said Dipper.
Now Bluestreak was a bit confused now hirself.. Ou had not really gotten to know the other bot before, having only really seen him when ou and Blaster were first take to the base and ou hadn't thought the mech was this jumpy before...
No that's okay Dipper I'm the one disturbing you. What are you doing in there anyway? Why aren't you with the others? Isn't it lonely here? I'd be lonely."
And ou REALLY hated to be alone...Why wasn't Dipper making eye contact? Was there something wrong with her optics?
"Your old team?" There were more Autobots than the one's on base? Why weren't THEY here too? Wouldn't it be safer? "Were are they? why aren't they on the base? You know you probably shouldn't leavve the base alone with everything that's happened. I'll go with you."
Dipper almost seemed to have visably sunk slightly. His shoulders slumped a little bit as he started fidgeting with his fingers. He was a mixture of sadness, anger, and nerves.
"Th-they're in t-the arctic... th-th-they aren't... uh... a-alive anymore," said Dipper shyly.
He tried thinking quickly of something to add. Shoot! Anything! A femme has just offered to go with him somewhere and THAT was a good sign, wasn't it? He didn't even know WHAT to feel.
"Y-y-you're welcome t-to co-come along," said Dipper.
Dead...That explained a few things. Bluestreak's spark ached for the other bot and placed a hand on his shoulder. Wanting to at least let him know he wasn't alone. Hir EMF radiating a soft comforting understanding.
Dipper was surprised. For a brief moment, he barely managed to look Blue in the eyes. It was only a brief instance before he was overcome with nerves again and looked away.
"Th-th-thank you, B-Bluestreak," said Dipper.
He seemed hesitant for a moment. Was he supposed to take Blue by the hand? Or maybe that was rude and he shouldn't do it? What if Blue didn't like his hands? (Then again, Dipper always thought he had small ugly hands anyways.)
Wait? Wouldn't Blue need a tarp?
"Uh.... uh..." Dipper struggled for a moment before trying to hold his tarp out to Blue, "H-here. T-take this. The a-arctic is r-r-really cold."
"It's not a problem Dipper, No one should be alone for things like that." In the cold surrounded by the dead, no defiantly not alone for that. Bluestreak took the tarp then looked back at Dipper only a little confused.
"What about you Dipper? You'll need one too. Do you have another?"
"O-oh! I'll be f-f-fine. I'm a t-tough mech. I'll be o-o-okay," said Dipper.
He tried to stand taller and make himself look at least marginally tougher looking. Instead, he just looked awkward. Instead he just gestured to the door with his arms in the after-you gesture.
Bluestreak smiled and followed Dipper. Carrying the Tarp with the intent to share once they got to Dippers old team's ship.
"So...why are you going anyway? I mean I understand if it's to pay your respects but the timing isn't exactly...." Sane? There were con's crawling all over the place after all "Not exactly the best."
"I-it's important. I-I just really n-n-need to find my place a-again," said Dipper, "I-I sorta... k-kinda... lost it."
He went over to the groundbridge controls and activated them. He had since figured out how to set the bridge up with a timer. He inputted one hour as the time that the bridge would reactivate to bring them back. The groundbridge opened up behind Dipper. He turned around once again uncertain if he should be looking at Blue or not.
"W-w-we have one hour," said Dipper, "Uh.... y-you okay w-with that?"
The little grey sniper watches the emerald vortex with some apprehension. Not exactly thrilled with the idea of going some were so COLD but not willing to let Dipper go there alone. It was obvious there was something really bothering the mech and if ou could just get him to look at hir maybe ou could help.
