Unbelievably she had found something worse than sand. Which shouldn't have been possible. While sand was actually quite pretty upon closer inspection it was also extremely uncomfortable and had the uncanny ability to work its way inside anywhere. Where there was a will, there was a way, and there was sand.
Wet silt, however, was just as chafing but it had the added benefit of being sticky with water. Mud clung to the both of them as they squelched their way out of the collapsed pit. She didn't think nature could be so strong but against all odds, the goop was clinging to her feet and created a suction that refused to let go. Only when she grabbed onto an exposed tree root and jerked herself away from the mire did she break the hold with a sickening noise that would make a two year old child giggle.
Only when she was struggling up the embankment did she realize she'd fallen in beside the enemy and had really forgotten she was supposed to be trying to kill him. Priorities as they were, it seemed more prudent not to be stuck on her back like a turtle in the frozen slush. His words both amused and irritated her to no end. Really, this was all his fault.
"I didn't want to be here in the first place! Do you know how many holidays a Decepticon gets? None, we're slagging Decepticons." Roulette heaved herself the rest of the way out of the pit onto land that was just as wet and disgusting. She didn't even want to think about her weapons. They were tucked back into their holsters on her thighs but she could feel the grime on them. She wasn't even sure what would happen if she did fire them. No short list of malfunctions could happen due to this mess.
"I had one cycle to myself. One blissful cycle of rest and that slagging, stupid, purple glitch had to-" The rest of her tirade was cut off with a shrill sound that was decidedly non-Decepticon and non-warrior like. Feelings of irritation quickly changed to horror.
"There is something moving in me..." Not since a late night cinemax movie had such words been uttered.
