She went very still at his words. She knew slagging well why the humans knew so much of Cybertronian anatomy. Even on their own, with a body of a mech, they wouldn't have been able to so keenly splice and slice their way around all the neural lines and feeds without making a mess. Their attack broadcasted their intel quite clearly. They've been fully prepared and ready for multiple mechs.
And they wouldn't have been able to do so without Starscream's help...
The memory faded as Roulette forced herself to stop thinking and focus on nothing. She wasn't a traitor and she wasn't a tattle but a clearly sharp line was being drawn of rank. Did Starscream hold more rank than Shockwave? The answer was nebulous at best when it came to this type of situation and had been eating at Roulette's mind since the encounter.
Pit with it, he's going to find out anyway. If he'd wanted to shut me up, he would have by now. I think.
"They had help." Standing straight, she turned to Shockwave and held her clenched fist against her middle. Thinking back to that moment, she realized, she really did hate Starscream at that moment. No matter why he'd chosen to aid MECH, for whatever gains in the end, she hated him enough for now.
“That sounds like my cue, doesn't it,” it said.
Heavy footsteps clicked against the cement floor, shaking it with slow, deliberate strides. They paced around the armature that bound her beneath the glare of the lights, until a silhouette loomed against them, towering over her. Fluorescent light haloed its lean body, the sharp tips of its wings. Its red optics glowed.
It leered at her, cruelly, its hands folded together behind its back.
“Well done, Roulette,” said Starscream. He leaned into her face. “How do you explain yourself, getting into such a predicament as this?”
