Zoom Zoom turned from the door slowly, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. His posture was tense, his expression sour. Anyone with the slightest understanding of body language could tell that the mech was angry, and likely putting forth considerable effort to keep his frustrations to himself, lest they blow up in someone (namely his superior officer’s) face.
Red Alert appreciated his restraint, for what little that was worth. He doubted Zoom Zoom would value any show of appreciation from him whatsoever, at that point, given all that had happened between them within the last few kliks. He couldn’t really blame him either. He would probably be rather cross at himself too, if he had been in Zoom Zoom’s place. Of course, Red Alert had no personal effects and kept no mementos of persons he once held dear, so it was a bit difficult for him to imagine himself in Zoom Zoom’s specific situation to begin with, but that was beside the point.
He took a step aside as the smaller mech approached his desk to retrieve Unicron, just to put a comfortable buffer of distance between them. He had the feeling the mech would be happier (er, well. Slightly less royally miffed) if they didn’t stand so close to each other.
“In a minute.” He replied, holding up a hand to quell any protest the mech might be preparing to make.
“I don’t mean this offensively, but I’m not interested in talking about your life story.” He already saw parts of it, parts he wasn’t meant to be privy to, and that was already more than he wanted to know about.
“We’re discussing this.” He added, waving the dataslate in his hand to call Zoom Zoom’s attention to it.
He had been working on it when the mech had walked in, finished his task before he tried to walk back out. Now that he had Zoom Zoom’s focus once more, he could finally put it to use---assuming, of course, the mech actually wanted it.
“I...took the liberty of creating a backup of those files.” He cleared his throat, glancing away briefly before handing the datapad towards Zoom Zoom. “The datapad is already encrypted, just input a new password and you’re set.”
He paused, then added “...You may want to reset the password on that drive, as well.”
Since, you know. He kind of knows what Unicron’s password is right now and a password is only worth a damn if no one else knows it.
