Bumblebee couldn't help but show off when he was excited. And right now? He was excited. He was getting it. The almighty Holoform, which only a while ago he could barely make walk? He'd conquered it. Look at him now! Walking around a chair and sitting down without falling onto his face! He was a pro. A champion! It really was the little things – but he was proud of himself, and Nell's words of encouragement were to thank for him even sticking at it. If she wasn't here, he would've given up a long time ago. But this was fun.
So it was no wonder that he'd completely lost track of time. He hadn't realized they'd been here as long as they had, nor had he even really spared a thought that Nell probably had other and better things to do than work with Bee on this all day. She'd taught him the basics, so he could probably work out the rest from here. Like running. That'd be fun to work out! Then maybe later he could show off his skills the next time he ran into Nell – although hopefully he wouldn't literally run into her. He'd done that once, and would do everything in his power not to do that again.
As she spoke, Bumblebee would give an enthusiastic thumbs up at her. But the second part made his optics whir, the aperture lenses closing, and opening as he thought. The closest thing he could do to mimic a blink.
Talk? With the radio?
That sounded amazing and was something he hadn't thought of before. With Raf around, he hadn't needed to really learn other ways to communicate with humans, as there was usually a bot around to translate if Raf wasn't... But as today had proven, there were times that it would be just him and someone who couldn't understand his beeps. He wasn't good at charades, either, and his drawing skills were sub-par so he couldn't draw out what he wanted to get across. But radio talk? Maybe. Maybe it could work. It was frustrating and upsetting for him that he couldn't communicate as easily, so he was all up for trying it at least.
He'd nod enthusiastically, and beeped a flurry of excited sounded beeps. Good idea? AWESOME IDEA! Maybe if he ever took Nell for a spin as a thank you for helping him today, they could work on it then, as he'd be in his alt mode and they could just cruise around for a bit and try and work out this talking with the radio thing.
That could come another day, though. Nell had things to do, and Bumblebee wanted to practice working with the Holoform so he could show off later.
Bee would wave to Nell, cheerily beeping out what was probably a 'See ya around!' and a 'Thank you' – the Holoform would wave too from its position on the chair, following with a thumbs up. He was going to stick around here for a while to work on this.
And work on it he would. The Holoform would rise to a stand, putting the chair back where it originally was – to show off, of course, before it would start to walk off down the corridor he'd first met Nell. Bee following after it closely. It was one thing to have it walking in straight lines, but with the twisty corridors and various obstacles he'd have to face walking around the base? It'd be a good challenge, and one Bee figured he could overcome.
And overcome it he would.
