We are a literate, intermediate to advanced AU Transformers RPG Based off of the first season of TFP with dashes of other incarnations sprinkled here or there. Characters from any continuity are welcome however must be restyled to match the TFPrime universe.
Active, with ongoing plotlines, we are always willing to integrate new characters into storylines once incorporated into the setting.
While Arcee and the others inspected the frequency, Bumblebee’s harmonics had changed, EMF taking on the same pre-fight buzz as Optimus.Hut he wasn’t looking at the monitor, he was looking at Shadow – worry in his electromagnetics.
‘ Shadow,’ He spoke quietly, a little nervous. ‘We know/get that this is really risky/that Megatron might be setting a trap, but the benefit/advantage is at least we know he’s setting it/where he’ll be. You talk about intell and how we have none of it – well, that’s why we have to take this chance/risk/stupid move. We have even less intelligence about when/where/what/who he will attack next and knowing Megatron there *will* be collateral. Yeah, Megatron will know we’re coming but first off, Optimus knows him better than any Bot in the verse. Second, he doesn’t know we have this code. So maybe he knows something we don’t, but we know something he doesn’t.’
He shook his head. ‘We either risk our intell is more vital than Megatron’s/gamble we can outsmart him or people are going to die.’ Bee’s tone quieted, his EM field rippling slightly against the agitated jag of her frequencies. ‘We can’t wait for better odds. That’s not how the frontlines work.’

Optimus rumbled slightly in agreement with Arcee’s assessment. “Barricade provided the failsafe codes and an encrypted comm frequency. Due to the nature of the technology in play, Blaster was able to partially decode the frequency, but not fully unlock it. Therefore, we can transmit the kill code, but only within a limited range as opposed to destroying the ship from a completely remote location. The encryption is a permutation cypher is such that one would have to know the key to fully decrypt the exact frequency. Blaster will keep attempting to break the code, but it may not be broken by the time Megatron makes his stand.”
There were wheels turning, so to speak, behind Arcee’s optics; her eyes moved across the screen with a rapt kind of focus, as though she were reading something she had read before. “Arcee?”
As quickly as the anger had come, it passed, and Shadow sagged beneath Bee's words. 'So you're saying Megatron is both insane enough to not be a tactical threat, and sane enough for Prime to be able to predict what he'll do. And you're all sure enough of this that there's no reason to try and tip the odds by putting recon in the area right now/ahead of time looking for intel/traps/Con activity.'
She shook her head slowly, suddenly tired and wondering why she had bothered to speak up. Labyrinth's voice whispered in the back of her processor. Let them fight their own battles, glitchmouse. You aren't one of them. You never were; you never will be. There was the slightest hint of reprimand in the voice, that she needed to be reminded of what she already knew.
'I hope you're right, Bee,' she whirred quietly, no longer able to look at her friend. 'I hope for your sake this gamble pays off for you.'

Bee moved slightly to step back in front of Shadow, not letting her turn from him so easily, moving to sync his field against hers for a fraction of a klik. ‘Shadow, we’re gonna scout first/try not to gamble. Just like you said, that makes the most sense and, frankly, Optimus knows better than to try to talk us out of it. Look at Hide’s face. You can’t argue/contend/debate with that.’ The yellow Bot gave a mock-arrogant little chirp. ‘Besides, I’m the best scout/ninja-bot there is, after all. It would be glitched/stupid not to send me out to have a first look. I mean, obviously.’ His levity (though it was bright as his plating) lasted only a nano-kilk before fading into a more anxious hum. Blue optics held Shadow’s yellow ones.
‘Look… Megatron guns for Optimus all the time. We hate it. Every fight he’s always there trying to tear him down over this... grudge. So, trust me, I/we will be damned before we let that maniac have another cheap fraggin’ shot at him.’ He didn’t quite move to bump his helm against Shadow, only dropped his voice. ‘So… I’ll just see you when we get back.’ A hopeful buzz that did not hide the scout’s obvious nerves. ‘And bring high-grade?’

'I'm less worried about Megatron than about this ship. That's the wild card.' Shadow's field rippled slightly as she let that worry bleed through. 'Megatron won't wait forever for Prime to show up before he realizes something is going on, and it isn't safe to assume the failsafe will work quickly. We have to maximize our transmission window by being in place and ready to transmit as soon as that thing is in range.' Ideally, she would have liked more than one person in a position to transmit, though she understood Ironhide wanting the precaution of holding some of them in reserve. 'And I still think we need wheels on the ground now, so we can adjust our plans before everything hits the fan instead of doing it all on the fly.'
She vented softly and reached out to cuff Bumblebee on the side of the helm, the gesture turning into something more like a caress. 'And yes, if we all survive this, I'll make sure there's enough high grade that no one will be conscious for a week.'

Arcee shook her head in dismissal, her initial train of thought fading. “Nothing of importance, Prime. If Blaster hasn’t gotten it yet, I doubt I would.”
The two wheeler stepped away from the monitor, somewhat frustrated with the tugging thought. Unless she could figured out what was bothering her now, she didn’t have time to consider it with the bigger problem at hand. The going plan was riding on a lot of assumptions, which could change the dynamics of tomorrow’s confrontation in any direction. In any event, she planned on being there without question. This was Barricade’s game changer, she was going to see it to the end.
“Prime,” Mind made up, Arcee stood tall to full attention and giving the Enforcer salute, “Requesting to be in the field to transmit fail-safe codes.”

“Request granted, Arcee.” Blue optics flickered toward Bumblebee, who was already moving forward from a brief conversation with Shadowrunner. Optimus knew the pitch of the scout’s EMF before he had a chance to even speak. He nodded and continued soberly, “Though it appears that you and Bulkhead will not be alone on the preliminary scouting mission.” Bee chirped impudently in confirmation and that was that. Optimus faced the three of them, looking to each individually.
“You will remain out of sight and off the radar. At no time will you reveal your presence unless engaging enemy troops, should Megatron choose to go back on his word and send in reinforcements. Providing there is no trap, and Megatron arrives as he promises, you will not give up your positions. Upon the arrival of that ship your only mission will be its destruction and nothing can deter you from that goal.”
He regarded the trio with pre-battle cold, the edge of adamantine in his tone that didn’t brook an argument. Though he had not said it, he’d made it clear that they were not in any circumstance to become distracted by his fight with Megatron and derail their objective. If the worst happened and the battle could not be avoided, this needed to be clear.
“Is that understood?”

Tactics was not Bulkhead's thing. Tactics meant 'stand back and keep quiet' while better heads hashed out the details of when and who and how.
When was now, who was Bee, Arcee and himself, and that was all Bulkhead needed to know. They hadn't stood on formality much when it was just the three of them with Prime and Ratchet, but the base had gone from echoingly empty to a lot more full and he was aware of optics on him as he snapped a salute. "Understood, Prime," he replied. "You can count on us."
Bee glanced briefly at Arcee and Bulkhead, suppressing (as always) that twinge of dread that came before every fight and replacing it with bravado. He knew bravado very well. It kept him moving when terror should have stopped him and it kept him alive when he should have died for fear and he’d survived this long by getting over it and being the soldier that Optimus and the others needed. Right now they needed him to be a scout and they needed… well, they needed a lot of luck and just one break. Just once.
He chirped once in agreement. Ready.
((OOC: Think one more Arcee tag to wrap or we can wrap here. Either works.))
