There was now a fourth member on this mission. One that probably – definitely – shouldn't have been there, but... That's what you get for not paying attention!
Somewhere during the conversation and hand holding and smooching, Miko had wandered into the Control Room looking for something to do. She'd caught the tail end of the conversation, not that much needed to be said with a giant angry flashing red symbol on the monitors.
Giant red angry flashing red? That meant something awesome was happening and Miko was so invited! It'd been a total snore-fest around the base lately and she deserved something fun – they didn't want her to die of boredom now did they? Self invites were the best invites, and hey with three Autobots with her? She'd be pretty safe no matter what!
She kept out of the way, letting them do their thing and giving them time to make their way through the Ground Bridge without drawing any attention to herself. Then, once they were partway through? She'd break into a sprint and rush through the swirling green vortex to catch up. She knew they were trying to conserve power lately, Bulkhead had flat out told her nooo opening the Bridge unless it was absolutely necessary blah blah blah when she'd asked him if they could go do fun stuff for a change in somewhere that wasn't in Jasper. Conserving of power meant that she'd have to move fast, the bridge would be closing quickly – but on the upside to this, it meant that they proooobably wouldn't want to use the energy and resources to open it up again when they realized she'd followed them through.
It was totally the perfect plan.
Or it would've been, if they hadn't begun to shift into to their altmodes. She was far back enough to watch in dismay as Bee transformed into vehicle mode and sped forwards, the taller one of the trio and the female didn't shift until they were all through and on the other side – by which time Miko had caught up and quickly ducked into the nearby foliage while they were distracted.
She couldn't help but watch with wide eyes, totally fascinated and in awe as Carbine shifted forms, scrambling to grab her cellphone from her pocket to try and snap a pic or two of him mid-transformation. Whoa. She'd seen Bulk shift a million times now, and while that was still really awesome to see and never got old, it was nothing like what Carbine had just done!
Then he took off, and she'd wince and clamp her hands over her ears, ducking down and keeping herself low as the wind rushed up around her. That was not quiet at all, and she hadn't expected it to be so loud! Only once he was up in the air did she remove her hands, looking up at him in quiet amazement before she realized...
Ack!! She should probably try and make herself known. At least to Bumblebee or that chick she didn't know. She didn't want to get left out here by herself while they all drove away! They didn't even know she was here yet!
They hadn't covered much ground at least, and for now? They were going slow as they made their way to the road. And so she'd push herself up and out of the shrubbery, arms flailing wildly as she took off into a sprint before they could reach the road.
“Heeeeeey!!! Yo! Bumblebee! Other Autobot I totally don't know!!” She yelled, waving her arms as she ran as fast as she could. “Wait up!”
The swirling vortex of the Ground Bridge vanished just as quickly as it came behind them, meaning they had no choice but to take her with them.
That's if they even saw her.
Whoops!
