Distanly, the roar of battle between comrades and enemies pushed itself to the back of Arcee’s processor. She dealt with own struggle. She didn’t concern herself with Bumblebee and Bulkhead current safety or with Optimus taking on an increasing insane Megatron. The only pressure she permitted to drive her was that likely in matter of minutes…
…they’d all be dead anyway.
The two-wheeler attempted sending the fail-safe codes again over the same frequency, but the same error message repeatedly blared across her HUD. She was locked out for good. She smashed an old wooden desk with a cry of frustration.
-Focus, Arcee, Focus-
The blue femme invented deeply. She had to get something to work. The encryption ran through her processor, over and over. A minute ticked by in real time, an eternity in Arcee’s feverish and racing mind.
A piece to the puzzle fell into place. The familiarity. The Déjà vu.
The sequencing of the encryption glyphs were reminiscent of Enforcer-level security, particularity of that used in Elite Guard SCAT units. Arcee might not even consider it, if it weren’t for the off-the-wall communicate from Barricade prior to her chasing him through the Jasper City Junkyard.
The two-wheeler quickly scrolled through her personal comm. log. Her processor on edge, she accessed the data files for the most recent transmissions barely believing her increasing suspicion.
Yes. Listed in her comm. log was a brief communication from Barricade on their old Maverick frequency alongside with the same frequency encryption. Arcee swiftly inputted the standard enforcer cipher. Her spark skipped a pulse, waiting with kliks Optimus didn’t have to spare. The glyphs rapidly realigned themselves on her HUD changing in order and abruptly stopped with a quiet ping in confirmation of an open and clear frequency.
::Uplink Connected: Frequency Authorization Confirmed::
Arcee stared at empty space stunned, before immediately jamming the fail-safe codes through the frequency.
::Upload Codes: Fail_Safe Resuming… Progress: 42.5645%::
Another klik dragged by. –come on come on-
::Upload Complete: 100%::
Arcee scrambled to the broke windows, thrusting her helm out skyward.
