Bumblebee's question caused a silence that seemed to last forever. Sniper refused to look at him. Letting the Scout's words flow through his processor, his stare remained on the dry wilderness. There was a way he wanted to answer, but there was a doubt that kept him silent. Sniper couldn't quite put a digit on it. These kinds of feelings were foreign to him. Whilst his climb in the Decepticon ranks, there had been no need for them. But now, the kindness of the Scout and the horrors of Sniper's past were luring them out. It was ... confusing, if anything.
"...Yeah," he ended the silence, his words ringing hollow. It was an answer Sniper had trouble giving.
Then, a slight tremble shook his system as the Scout's comforting touch surprised him. He didn't - he wasn't used to such gestures and didn't quite know how to react. His faceplate finally turned, even if only a little, and a red optic burned it's gaze into the sympathetic face of the Autobot scout. Sniper looked surprised, even when his faceplate seemed tense and empty - like hw would have still expected Bumblebee to punch him.
Such kindness. And Sniper didn't deserve any of it.
And with this thought, Sniper Stared into the kind, blue optics of the Scout's. He was frozen for a moment, before he suddenly cleared his voice box and shook Bumblebee's hand of his shoulder. His faceplate turned away again and he took a step away from the Scout.
"I think..," he started, his voice falling back to the composure it was known for. However, Sniper seemed absent. "I think I need go for a drive."
The Scout's kindness was too much for Sniper to handle. He couldn't think straight. His only thought was that he couldn't get away from Bumblebee fast enough.
((End of thread? :> Unless you have something to add? I'm thinking this thread flows nicely with the one we have going on with KO. Maybe when Bee comes over there at some point, we can have Sniper and Bee do/talk more.))
