"To be honest, Knock Out, the only think keeping me with the Decepticons now, is you. I would never ask you to put yourself on the line for my faulty processor because I'm more than aware of the risks even having thoughts like that could mean within the faction, but moreso.."
Breakdown gave a moment of pause as he stared straight ahead, not looking at Knock Out. He didn't have to, he knew that his partner was becomming anxious and there was no stopping the flood now that the gates had been opened. He'd never been able to lie to the red mech before, never dreamed of it, and certainly wasn't now. He deserved his honest answers, as told within their sparks.
"I don't know the extent that anyone else knows of our relationship, but they at least know that we are close- be it through work or otherwise. I don't doubt for a second that if I were to leave, or at least hint at defecting, that the aggression would turn to you rather than me. I've taken more than a fair share of their ridicule ever since I joined the Decepticons, and through the way the faction is run on fear, they'd use my loyalty towards you against me- and the same if it were the other way around. That's just... not a risk I'm willing to take. I can't even consider a move unless I knew you were safe."
Rock and a hard place with being bent so far over a barrel that he didn't know how much more he could take before he snapped. There was so much riding on everything...
He had to be careful, play the part of the faction idiot- oblivious to the inner workings- for the sake of the only mech who gave a damn about him. Would he risk it all for him? Of course he would, but where Knock Out stood on the whole situation was still left in the air. The medic could easily turn around and betray him, report him in order to secure his place as a high ranked offical...
... and still, Breakdown would blindly follow him.
