There was a quiet, beepy hum of thought from Bee in response to the first number given. Eighty-eight point… what did he say? Zero two seven… five? Oddly specific, but- those were pretty good odds, right? Course, that was only if they managed to keep the element of surprise, and with this team? Well that shouldn’t be too hard to do!
It was only when the second number was given that Bee seemed to realize just how crucial it was that things went according to plan here. No rushing in, no thrilling heroics, or being reckless. Which again, given the team they had here?
Well, he had never really seen Sunstreaker during fieldwork - but Prowl had to have picked her for a reason, right? He himself wouldn’t do anything reckless, neither would Prowl - Jazz maybe, possibly - but…
Things would be fine.
Ten percent though… That was pretty abysmal. Doable - heck, he’d probably been on missions back in the day without realizing it with far worse odds, they probably all had - but abysmal.
All the better reason for this to go to plan!
The part that he didn’t get, and there was a gentle shifting of weight as Prowl spoke - was the part about abandoning the mission should a high priority target be there. The fact Prowl was looking directly at both Sunstreaker and himself as he said it probably meant it was directed mostly at them.
What he wouldn’t give to offline Megatron himself - not just because of what the Warlord had personally done to him, that would just be a nice added bonus, but for all they’d lost because of him. Friends, companions, their home. Why abandon the mission in the hopes that a collapsing mine would take him out when they could just end things and be certain it’d be done?
Mm. That was probably why Prowl was looking at them, and a brief nod was given to show that he understood, before casting a quick glance at Sunstreaker. In the heat of the moment - should Megatron or one of the other high command be there - who knew if he’d stick to that directive or would stop Sunny from doing something either should she find opportunity, but for now he would agree.
Shifting his attention to Jazz as he spoke, a beepy snicker-like trill escaped him at the comment made. Now that he would like to see. Though this brief moment of silliness quickly tapered off at the condition that was given moments later, and there was a gentle whir as his optics focused on the other mech.
--It ain’t gonna go bottoms up, Jazz. I mean - eighty-eight point whatever, those are pretty damn good odds! We got this!--
He had to cling to some of his usual optimism, even though he knew that things still had a chance to go horribly, horribly wrong. Knowing the exact number - even if he wasn’t sure where Prowl had got that number from - somehow made things a little worse, but it was all the more reason to stay focused.
