<<A Megatronus/Shadowrunner thread to start with, then Ironhide and Gasket can hop in. You'll know when. >3 Optimus can get involved afterwards after being comm.ed, or that can be the start of a new thread. We shall see how we go.>>
Megatronus was used to the dark, particularly that of subterranean tunnels. Though Cleaver's mine was not far off being exhausted, there was still a gentle hum of organic energy from the energon crystals growing in thin veins and shallow clusters in the walls. It was not Cybertron by any stretch - he couldn't feel the planet's lifeforce surrounding him with a field that was always a threat as much of a comfort. The tunnel walls were dead and alien.
It made him restless.
Mining out the veins and extending the tunnel had taken the gladiator's mind off of the prolonged isolation and lack of answers regarding his current situation. Cleaver had told him enough to work his processor, but nowhere near enough to satisfy him. More questions rose as he worked, and his recharge was filled with speculations about the death of Cybertron, the exodus into space, the war that had caused both and his place now.
Waking now to the dim light of stacked energon crystals and the red glow of his optics against the wall, Megatronus picked up the last cube of energon left with a sigh and pricked a claw through the seal. Cleaver would return in a few breems to supply more, and he would have the opportunity to press more answers from her.
At the edge of his sensors, he picked up a Cybertronian signal thirty-six feet above the tunnel's ceiling and moving closer. Megatronus pushed to his pedes to meet the medic at the hole that led down into this tunnel, only to pause when the signal cleared and he found it not to be Cleaver. It wasn't anyone he recognised.
Frowning, Megatronus downed the cube and tossed it aside. He was getting weary of being hidden like this, particularly now that other mecha were venturing close. Decided on determining who else was up in Cleaver's den, the large mech set his claws into the stone and began to climb up out of the tunnel and into the winding passage that would eventually ascend into the Atrium.
