Dart had been following silently behind Starscream as he threaded his way around the ruined corridors and paths. He obviously knew exactly where they were headed. The red light from his blaster splashed luridly along the walls; it gleamed off of the hanging cables and mangled panels. She ducked under some of the dark loops, only to misjudge and stand back up where a strand of wire immediately snagged on the end of her ponytail- er, helm-crest.
The courier froze in mid-stride. She gulped at a quick intake of air and held it. Ever so gingerly she brought up her hand and nervously unhooked it. Okay, well, that one wasn't live, thank someone. With a flinch, she ducked under the rest of the maze of cables and quickly caught up to him.
Drops of condensation trailed old paths through the dark splotches of heavy soot on the walls, trailing down to the floor She could smell and see things that informed her that this place had been through a catastrophic failure of some sort, long, long ago.
As he worked his way through the ruin; she glanced up at the ceiling, half hoping that she'd see something. A sliver of sky or star, some wisp of cloud or a hint of tree, but, no. There was fresh air coming from somewhere though, and she was grateful for that. Fresh air always meant there was some way to get out.
"Er, yes, that pretty much sums it up," the courier said. "I tracked down the canyon, and finally came across one of the Vehicons in the river. He was dead. That's when I found the Autobot, sir."
Dart paused, even as Starscream flattened against the wall to skirt the mess.
"He was um... very not dead."
