"They are not half bad," Ravage reassured him. "She comes and shares them with me at times. Would I eat many of them? No, I would not, but... I accept that it is a kindness for her to share, and I enjoy her company. I learn many things from her gossip, things I might miss while I am out on patrol."
This was true. He did enjoy her company. Many of the others found her abrasive chatter annoying at times. Ravage simply realized that it was her way of getting those around her to react to a situation, to draw them out and make them think she was nothing more than a childish creature, incapable of higher thought other than her goal of getting the next shiny thing... Or calling insults and ruffling her crest at them.
It was the same way he slunk through the halls, padding past the other Decepticons. That he jumped to high places and rested, his optics half lidded as he settled in plain sight. Rarely speaking; his tail swishing from side to side. To be thought of by others as something barely sentient did not bother him; nor did it offend him. He preferred that. It left him in peace, and left the patterns around him as natural as possible between others. All the better to read them.
He lowered his muzzle and settled it on his paws. His ears followed Laserbeak's quiet loops as the bird-mech swept along the currents of air within the room.
"Or miss since I simply am not as social as I perhaps should be," he admitted to Soundwave after a long moment. "Ah well. Such it is."
He chuckled and glanced around at the room they were in, listening the hum of the conduits overhead. The lighting in the room slipped across their dark finishes, a purple gleam shimmering along the edge of Soundwave's visor. "You should try one next time she offers them. I suggest the green ones over the orange, myself."
