From the corner of her eye, Nell caught Bluestreak moving his hand outside the window like a little kid would. Her brows raised for a moment, but she wasn't going to say anything. After all, it wasn't like she didn't do crap like that from time to time on long drives.
Returning his grin with one of her own, she shook her head a little as he settled his hand back down. Funny how he was sorta like a big kid in a way, excited about this or that in an overly enthusiastic manner. As for the chit chat? Well Nell was amused by it. “Yeah, I don't know what to think of it. Seems like a lot of work. Now fixin' up an old car is up my alley for obvious reasons.” She pointed out before chuckling. “Well, what's nice about fire features is you getta chill outside when the weather starts to cool down – or in the summer when night can be cooler. One of the guys I went to basic with? His parents had one...It was sorta nice sittin' out there yackin' with friends while drinkin' beers.” God, were those fun memories.
As for her father, well Nell couldn't help the smile on her face. “Yeah, I did. He's sorta the only parent I got so time spent with him was always extra special. Especially when he had to work a lot, it meant time was tight. Granted I think both my brother and I sorta were glad that him workin' a lot meant he wasn't the one cookin;. Love him and all but the man just can't cook to save his life.” Her nose wrinkled a little and she shrugged her shoulders. “I'm just glad my brother learned quick from our various babysitters or neighbors, meant we weren't gonna die from starvation or somethin; of the sort.”
Of course, she wasn't going to elaborate much further on what she meant by the man being on the only one she had. Talks about her mother were reserved for others, and they were the sorts that she known a lot longer than any of the Autobots or many people at Blackrock. Though, she knew Fowler likely knew about her mother, but the man likely knew about stupid crap that she thought no one would of known about her.
“Second nature is sorta right on the money though, because systems do tie into systems and if you fuck up one? You can fuck them all up.” Nell explained. “I think there is a special place in Hell for those who fuck up a once pristine engine too, 'mechanics' who do that? Shouldn't be called a mechanic and make the rest of us look bad.” Shaking her head she rolled her shoulders a little to loosen them up.
“Yeeeah, you have more sense in that head of yours than I do. I get stubborn, more so than usual cause being told I can't do somethin' is a challenge.” Which was true, especially when it came to tinkering with things. “Granted that's probably also the reason why I got soaked by the damn pipe and I ended up screamin' profanities without a care in the goddamn world who heard me.” She grinned a little bit at the mech beside her. “Yeah, not possible at all unless you were an ant on a piece of cardboard.” Nell pointed out about the surfing, though it was still weird that he was into something that she didn't think someone made up of metal could do. Unless he parked on some beach and let his avatar do it.
Either way it was still weird and he ended up clarifying it a bit.
But first things first...
“No. Not addition. ADD it's attention deficit disorder. Sorta like, I dunno, you're walkin' along doing what you should be doing and you get auto-distracted by a shiny rock and your mind goes from 'okay I gotta do this so I can be a functional adult' to going off track like...'I need to start a load of laun-OH SHINY SPARKLY ROCK!'” She waved her hands in the air a little. “And when someone says you're 'ADD much' means you got a really short ass attention span, not really an insult either.” Nell explained.
“Either way, how did you get into surfin' of all things? Seriously, hard to wrap my brain around it.” She commented before a small grown settled on her face as her eyes locked onto the base in the distance.
“Yeah...I have no idea. It's not that odd I mean, I might be part of his unit but at the same time? I'm the new recruit and top secret crap is still being withheld from me. Either way, we're almost there and we'll be headed for Gate 4 – we're meetin' up with Lieutenant Mercer and he's gonna escort us to wherever Fowler wants us to go.”
