...Lizard people?
Thundercloud pulled a face, more sure than ever that he was dealing with a bona fide lunatic. Granted, he was a lunatic who somehow had surprisingly accurate knowledge of the extraterrestrial presence on his planet, but was still a lunatic. That part was very important to keep in mind - there was no telling what sort of slag was brewing in that crazy head. For all Thundercloud knew he was dealing with someone who was horribly unstable who could start foaming at the mouth and ranting about voices in his head at a moment’s notice.
Or the guy could have just been eccentric. It was a crapshoot, really.
Pausing in front of the shelter, Thunder knelt down, dropping to one knee as he took a look inside. Sure, he could have sent his holo in, but he figured he didn’t actually need to be inside the cramped space in order to be shown...whatever it was this guy wanted to show him.
He was about to ask, when Marco answered his question for him.
To say Thundercloud was surprised by what he heard would be an understatement. Taken aback by the man’s words, Thundercloud’s optics brightened, his jaw dropping slightly in disbelief as he stared down at Marco and wondered how the hell he had managed to uncover what was supposed to be highly confidential information. More importantly, he wondered how the hell he was gonna explain all this to Optimus and Fowler without either of them immediately assuming he dropped the ball and revealed all that clandestine info himself.
He couldn’t even blame them for thinking that, honestly. If he was in their position, he’d probably assume, as a general rule, that when something went wrong he probably had something to do with it.
Blinking hard to break himself out of his surprised stupor, Thundercloud narrowed his optics, one eyebrow raising skeptically.
“You sure you don’t already know the answer to that?”
He wouldn’t doubt it at this point, honestly.
